It's so disappointing. Miles had all of the key players back from a team that won 22 games. Similarly, the team fell apart in 2014-15 after it returned a veteran squad from a team that made the NCAA tournament.

We're still 17 days away from the potential Rock Bottom, @ 0-14 Penn State on 2/19. Lose that, and we might end up tied for last after finishing fourth last year. Or maybe it's NU (3-16, 13-17) losing to Iowa by 25 at home in front of more Hawkeye than Husker fans. I'm done predicting what could be more horrible than anything I've seen in the last 50 years of following this team. No matter what I think, it just gets worse.

What's really frustrating is that last year's team was as good, if not better. It's too bad the B1G got no respect and, in turn, we didn't either. When you think about what we lost, you had to figure we could possibly struggle. We basically lost an entire lineup that was as good as most Doc Sadler starting lineups: Jordy, Duby, Jack, Anton, and Evan. We replaced those guys essentially with Tanner (played some last year), Nana (hardly played at all last year), Amir (been sick, true freshman), and Brady (undersized weight-wise, true freshman, hasn't done much since 9-5 at Minnesota). I think last year's squad would beat this team more times than not. Now, Watson, Copeland, and Allen are playing better than last year, but I'm not so sure about Roby or Palmer (at least not Palmer as of late)

I'm usually the one who rolls his eyes at some of the optimism here. But I keep looking at the ratings, and at this point we're still in the NCAA. KenPom 27, for example. So if you're giving up now, then you just don't believe this team is capable of playing decent ball. Not great, just decent.

And if Bart Torvik is reading this, how the heck are we still at 21 in T-Rank? Just can't figure that one out.

Yep. Put me down for that. We arent decent, no potential there until the offensive system is fixed. harder problem? "Fixing" the bad morale.

we still probably have a half dozen more losses to eat before the familiar "thud-bounce-splat" of corpse on concrete occurs.

This, too, as the saying goes, will end.

Combination which is why at the end of the game all of them should have been sitting.
