HuskerFever Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Today's AP poll shows us receiving four votes for the AP Top 25 Poll. That puts us at #37. I'm starting to feel a little bit better about the national attention (or the lack thereof). Let's just keep winning! aphilso1, Swan88, BigTate and 3 others 2 4 Quote
MitchMcGaryMunchies Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Looks like another Nebraska school with one-third UNL's endowment is barely ahead of us with 18 votes. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
MitchMcGaryMunchies Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Also, does anyone understand ESPN's BPI? More specifically, how the hell Penn State is 39th in it? Quote
49r Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 I've been saying it all season, Penn State is really good...especially now with Reaves back. tcp and HB 1 1 Quote

B-town hoopsfan Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Would be nice to see them sneak into the top 25 here to end the year. It would be another nice feather in miles cap. I believe the only other time we have been in the top 25 in like the last 25 years was a two week stretch to start pettaways last year here(also under miles guidance).  Another fun fact he would tie doc Sandler for career wins at 101 with nine more wins this year which doesn’t sound impossible Nebrasketball1979 and Red Don 2 Quote

HuskerCager Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 I gotta say, every time we get into the "first 4 out" conversation the last 15 years, we wilt like a daffodil in the Arizona desert (exception being 2014). So I'm really anxious about tonight's game given the 8 day layoff. It would be a very encouraging sign if they won in Minneapolis tonight, because this feels like a classic let-down scenario.  Quote

Nebrasketball1979 Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Andy Katz has us at #27 in his weekly Top 36 and this is the first time we've made an appearance in his rankings. The national buzz is growing, which can only help others take notice.   https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2018-02-12/andy-katzs-power-36-predicting-whos-and-out-ncaa-tournament?utm_content=buffer4affa&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer  Seriously though, who would have ever predicted back in October that we'd be receiving votes in the AP poll in February?!?! I think everyone on here would have signed up for that deal in a heartbeat! Nebrasketball1979 Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 New AP Poll is out and we've tripled our vote total and our up to #34!!! The 15 votes mean we are on probably 7-8 ballots. A couple of wins this week and we should hopefully triple that number again!   HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
