I think you'll want to keep an eye on what Wingett does at his prep school this winter. I think that could still be a possibility. I have a pipe dream that Daum will want/need a year vs. high major competition before he makes the jump to the NBA. But that's probably just a fantasy.

Look at the Ramey offers. Lots of teams under suspicion including our Blue friends. I have not heard Iowa mentioned at all though

If we're working under the assumption that Gill didn't get $ to go to Louisville and some of the guys we didn't land didn't come here because of $ somewhere else then

- Not every guy who played at Louisville got paid to do so. 

- Not every school who recruited a guy who got paid was paying him

Not sure if this is the right thread for this post so feel free to move it.... but say kids from the schools involved in the huge college basketball decide to transfer bc of the huge sanctions that are going to come down on said schools. And these same kids are not thought to be linked to the scandal. 

Is there a chance they would be eligible immediately (as in not have to sit out the standard one year that is required when transferring)?

What are we still looking for for 2018?  We still have an open scholie?

 

If we are looking for a guard, the JUCO route has someone that looks pretty good.  I haven't found that he is committed anywhere.

Miles insinuated in one of his radio talks that he's waiting for some of the dust to settle on this Adidas kerfuffle and that there might be some transfer opportunities available when that all shakes out.

Sounds like the grad transfer/ and 4 or 5 star transfer and sit out a year is really the best way for us to accumulate talented players.

 

Obviously we would all love to sign 4 and 5 star HS kids but I think Miles is finding its really damn tough.

 

Hopefully he can keep landing the transfer guys and hit on the HS kids he is signing. 

 

The homer in me can't wait to have our version of Khyri Thomas-- in state kid who develops into a 4 year BALLER

Okay we lose Gill, Evan, and Duby this year. We add Xavier Johnson and Brady Heiman so far. Brady maybe can contribute after redshirting and developing a few years but nothing soon. With Jordy's struggles I say we definitely need to bring in another big (Flo Thamba hopefully). 

Now Xavier will be a good help to replace our guards and I think Thomas Allen can fit in nicely to Anton's role this year, so we should need just one more good guard that can contribute, then I'd also like to add a nice sized Wing player as well for defense and I think Aguir Agau would be great...

 

Things have been dead recruiting wise so far which is why I bring this up.. Thoughts?

We need to add two 'bigs.'  One should be a freshman (Flo Thamba would be great) and one should be a Juco or senior transfer.  We need the freshman to add some depth next year but we really need him for the future.  We need a Juco or senior transfer next year that can defend, rebound, and be a SCORING THREAT.  Can you imagine next year's team with a skilled post player -- backed up by Jordy and Flo?  Wow!!   Can anyone say "Sweet 16" baby!!!!!
