Gavin's shot is 100% pure, that is for sure. Klay Thompson-esque. He's also 6'7" with fluid athleticism and his teammates love him. That's a guy that's worth being patient with if he's willing to stick with it. I'm guessing his postseason coaches evaluation meeting, where they imply a player should leave or stay, will go very different than Eli's did.4 points -

I've got a so-so record on predictions, but I've got a good feeling GG helps us win some conference games. I like the kid. I know it was the last four minutes against a bad opponent, but his stroke reminded me of Pike his red shirt freshman year. It was smooth, but so was the scotch I previously had.4 points

Considering we played the #4 team, we did about all we could. Not so bad really. Lot's better than against UCLA. Either one will probably win the B!G. About 20+ turnovers is always a killer. We were much more completive and scrappy. Too much size and talent on the other side.3 points -

All I gotta say the summer between my freshman year and sophomore year in college met a nice girl that I started dating. Had to go back to my college not here in Lincoln so I could keep playing football. Kept up the long distance thing as my folks really liked her and brought her along to games. She is very smart, hot, compatible with me, which ain’t easy and we really do seem to be clinking. Well met a girl at the bar one night and start fooling around with her. Not great but available daily. So kind try to dump home town girl, and got new “girl friend”. Forget to tell mom and dad and next game she shows up with mom and dad. We have a long talk after the game and I realize this is the one. 45 years later, 40 married 3 boys and oh yeah she became a lawyer and does well there. So I almost screwed up the perfect thing for me. Hope Fred likes the starting lineup he is dating now and doesn’t change it just because you know he was thinking with the “wrong head”3 points -

Getting 2 off the next 5 should be the goal imo. Rutgers has two superstars, but the rest of the team is bad, so neb should get that one at home. Out of these 4, I just need 1. We'll see how they go. Vs UCLA @ Iowa @ Purdue @ Maryland2 points -

Like the announcers said it’s been a brutal 3 game stretch for NU. This is where playing all those creampuffs and cupcakes at the start of the season didn’t serve us to prepare us for how brutal conference play will be. But at the same time, I understand scheduling lesser competition to log wins and gain critical confidence as a team.2 points -

Rollie doesn’t catch the ball ready to shoot. He catches then sees if he has space. So he often ends up out of rhythm or out of space to shoot if he wasn’t wide open.2 points

Another note about the game, my wife said she Berke’s whole ass at some point in the second half while he has tucking his shirt in. That guy always has a smile on his face and seems to be the “class clown” of the team if you will. Also dabs up the entire support staff whenever he comes off the court, after immediately getting coaching from Nate. He’s becoming my favorite personality on the team pretty quickly.2 points -

I think this years team is just destined to be kinda clunky on offense. Just gotta stick with leaning into the defense and hope Williams/essegian can get us another 9+ wins. I could see a game or two where Gary/berke/morgan combine for 50 too.2 points -

When Brice took over at point guard for a stretch in the Indiana game, I thought he ran the point as well or better than our two natural point guards have been so far this season. While still being our primary scoring option. That's not a knock on those two other guys. Just a testament to how good Brice has become during his time here. In December of last year, I never would've thought that was possible. He often dribbled into "small spaces", as Hoiberg says. And seemed like he couldn't take more than 3 consecutive dribbles without falling down and/or turning it over. His style of play seemed like it was going to have to be similar to Andrew White's - spot up threes and occasional straight line drives. Now he's got that ball on a string and shows good court vision when he's in that distributor role. Big credit to Brice, and the coaching staff, for turning him into an NBA prospect. Here's to hoping Quentin Rhymes, Janowski and Frager stick for a few years. They will get developed under this coaching staff. Case studies include: Brice, Keisei, Derrick Walker, Juwan Gary, CJ Wilcher. Could arguably add Berke to the list, but he has plenty more developing to do.2 points -

Do we need to tweak our starting lineup?? Seems like we are struggling to score with our current starting lineup. I think Id prefer Morgan over Meah. I like having Connor come off bench for now but could slide him in there and play Berke at 5. We get into conference play and we cant afford slow starts offensively.1 point -
With the current lineup there is lot more pressure on Gary and Rollie to score. Gary shot looks a bit smoother this year to my eye. Rollie really needs to make those wide open threes that he can step into. We go from good team to great team if he can start doing that.1 point

If you want to get better, you have to recruit better and develop players better. Let’s slow down on the talk about how far our program is behind UCLA. They may be very good this year, but they don’t really have any history either. I don’t think they have ever won a conference championship and I haven’t seen them in the Final Four. Maybe this is the year that changes, but they haven’t shown they can do it in the postseason yet.1 point -

Very fair honestly. I was not a fan of Rice at all personally, so I'll lean Gavin despite his struggles. Thought Eli played with massive tunnel vision in his time here, and he was obviously not a great defender, but not like Gavin has shown to be much better. I think it's pretty obvious Eli is transferring after the year, so I'll be interested in how his next stop looks.1 point -

I don't think so because what you're losing in scoring punch, your gaining in defense. Who cares if we start slow on offense and only score 10ish points if the other team has 4. Right now Meah presents something that Morgan doesn't on D-- he is HUGE in the middle.1 point -

I would agree with this. Early in the year, I said there was no one on the roster that I had that "confidence" in with shooting that I did Keisei. I take that back now. Whenever Connor puts one up, like Keisei, it's almost more of a shock when it doesn't go in.1 point -
