I didn't get to watch the game.

- The little I caught from the post game was that Ed was out, too.

- According to Miles they were closer than perhaps it may have seemed.

- Hammond didn't play terribly.

- Fuller played 16 minutes and only scored 2 points. When you're down 2 guys in the rotation, need ya to step up bigger than that.

That's about it.

Only saw half of the game. Glynn was aggressive in scoring 16. Andrew had two complete wide-left airballs & barely scored double figures. Michael was a rebounding fool. And Tai dunked while hanging on the rim with 30 seconds left. 72-61. That sums up the second half; meanwhile, Wisconsin made 11 of 18 on three's. And generally benefited from the way that the home refs called the game. Oh well, on to PSU at PBA.

- We made Wisconsin play the game we wanted them to play.  That was good...I think

- Wisconsin shot lights out.  Hard to win when a team shoots like they did tonight

- We missed at least ten lay ups.  Tough to witness that.  We simply lack the strength/maturity to finish

- We received no breaks from the refs.  I am not going to say they stunk...but we did not get the calls.

- Glynn played well.

- Others played okay, but okay is not going to win you a lot of games.

- Easy to say...but with a healthy Shavon and Ed, we win that game.

- Liked the press and the zone.  But once Wisconsin adjusted and hit their shots...Ugghhh.

I really hope Gill can get his own shot next year, because Watson is going to need some help.

Gill will get his own shots next year. And several of everyone else's as well.

Gill is a gunslinger. A la TP. Hopefully a scooch more efficient.

Coaches seem to be really high on him. I've head them call him "phenomenal" many times in interviews. Offense won't be a worry with him. I think defense is his weakness

-Hammond and Glynn were the only bright spots imo.

-We needed a lot more from White. Reassures my thought of him as Robin and not Batman.

-Kinda thought we would get more from Fuller so that was disappointing.

-Other than that it was kind of a blah game. Hope to get Shavon back asap. Morrow too.

Miles hit on the big stuff. We were weak around the rim. Wisconsin shot better from three than we did from around the rim. Assists were poor as well.

Also the "<insert team or player> had a career shooting night, not much you can do about that" excuse is poor when it seems to happen every loss. Bad 3 pt shooters getting hot or teams as a whole getting hot against us isn't a coincidence. But in the end I guess it's pick your own poison. Open threes are better than open layups.

I don't know how we did it but I think we played well to keep the game within 11 points, particularly the way Wisconsin was draining threes and getting to the FT Line.

According to the pbp stats, we missed 13 lay-ups (six in 1st half & seven in 2nd) vs making 6 lay-ups. That is particularly disappointing after all the effort made to get the 'steals' & turnovers and not winding up with any points. If we make even Half of the missed lay-ups that's 12 points, enough to win.

Deja Vu? I think the same thing happened in the Maryland game where we had 9 'steals' and got 18 turnovers, but few points to show for it.  Andrew White even commented on it in his post-game press conference. We can't keep giving away all those points and hope to win.

White:  “We definitely put ourselves in a position to win the game defensively and when you get turnovers, usually that gives you the opportunity to get some easy baskets. Transition, maybe get some threes and transition before the opposing defense can get set. So capitalizing is just focus and making the right decisions which we did not do all the way around tonight. If I could contribute that loss to one thing I would say, just capitalizing off turnovers would probably be it, just because usually that is such an easy thing. You get a turnover you should get a layup or a good shot. That is why this one is just a tough loss to take because we put ourselves in a position to win a game and something easy slipped by us today.”

I had to watch the replay.  Some good things despite playing with a short bench.  The young guys are growing up and Wisconsin is a veteran team.  Playing zone is going to allow 3 point shots and "Bucky Badger" can knock them down.  It is tough for me to be critical of White as I like his floor presence, attitude, work on the boards and selflessness.  Do I wish he could take people off the dribble? Yes, but I am pleased that he is a Husker.

I don't think we should have expected to win tonight without Shields and Ed Morrow not playing a minute.

Jacobson had some good moments also; very active on the boards.  Benny was decent also.

Fuller was the worst, struggled mightily in all phases of the game.  Not sure how anyone could have expectations there.

A road game without Shields and Morrow and starting 3 true freshmen; I didn't think it was that bad.  Frankly, I've haven't  been this optimistic about the future in many years, and that's not my nature.   CBA success this year; NCAA tournament next year.

Yes, Jacobson and Benny were solid. Can't ask for much more from Benny than 8 points 6 reb and 3 asst.

When it comes to Fuller, I have been hearing alot from the coaches on how well he has been practicing and I thought he was decent on Saturday. But he went ghost against Wisconsin.

I am totally with you about being optimistic for the future. We are gonna have good talent and experience next year and I have complete faith in Tim Miles. The one bright side about Shavon being out is the team is basically getting extra games/Practice for next year. I am not sure where we get three more wins from for the CBI. My guess is we have to sweep Penn State and beat Ohio State at home. But I am a little on edge w/o Shields.

I feel pretty darn hopeful for the future as well. We fought early last night and ugly-ed up the game, but couldn't do that forever. I think the year after next will be the potential culmination of whatever's going on if there's going to be one, but I also fear I'll be saying after next year "wish we had Andrew White for one more year" like after Miles's first year I said "wish we had Ubel for one more year" and this year "wish we had Shields for one more year."

That being said, overall things are looking up imho. All of the newcomers (save Evelyn) are showing me they have game and were very much worth the scholarship. Again, need some inside help but if we keep striking out there I don't know what to think. It's a great opportunity for even a DECENT, SERVICEABLE big man (or two).

Part of me worries Miles's salesman persona will wear thin eventually. I hope there's substance underneath, but I'm not 100% sold.

GO B1G RED!

I'm not sure I've ever seen a game where one team attempts 16 more two pointers than the other team, and yet the other team shoots 16 more free throws (at least not without a bunch of fouls occurring at the end of the game to stop the clock).
