How long before Robin puts out article (for a price) that we are at the top of his list after his visit.

Turns out he was tweeting a song lyric and it had nothing to do with his visit. Reason # 138,372,494 to not bother following a 19 year olds twitter feed.
Just a song lyric that, like so many other song lyrics, expresses what he happened to be feeling at the time, probably.

And I hope everyone pointed out that it would be quite difficult to step on a sea urchin in Nebraska.( and if this makes absolutely no sense to you, please refer to Swan88's article on page 1 of this thread)

It amazes me the number of bigs that have turned down NU when its obvious the playing time is there.  The facilities, the academic support, the league, also all in our favor.  What are other schools saying/doing that we're not.  I'm sure its not lack of effort by Miles and Co.  I just. don't. get. it.

I'm hoping E.T. had a great time and can see a bright future here at dear'ol NU.  I think he'd look great in scarlet and cream.

Unfortunately, there are some other factors involved for the really good ones, including a big stage to be featured on (e.g. the Big Dance) and proven ability to get guys to the next level.

Bingo. That seems to be a blind spot for many fans.

Exactly. This is why we may have to settle for guys like Hammond and Jacobson. These guys are only freshman and sophomores. Most big guys don't come in game ready as freshman so you train them up and hope they are something by the time they are juniors and seniors. In the meantime, we need to keep rolling project big men into the program behind these guys and swing for the occasional JUCO big.

If midmajor teams like Creighton ( two over 6'10, and one 7 footer) and UC Irvine (two over 6'10 and two over 7 feet) can find tall players with some talent, then it seems like we should be able to also do so. And I know the ship sailed long ago, but I can't help but feel Vooch could have given us some useful minutes this year if he had been allowed to keep that unused scholarship.

Currently he's the 11th man in a 9 man rotation for an Evansville that has 1 guy over 6'8". Perhaps you ate something spicy for new years.

And as much as I dislike Creighton, I would not consider them a mid-major.

For those of you scoring at home, that makes it TWO games in a row where a true freshman big for the opposing team has eaten our lunch.

Hench my post in the game thread as to way everyone else seems to find bigs that are ready in year one and we can not.

True, but at least in this case, he's a bona fide stud. Today wasn't even his season high.

At least this one is a future NBA head case.

If you guys would have taken a page from my book and lazed around on the couch after Indiana-Nebraska to watch the Maryland-Northwestern game, then you would have heard one of the commentators give the incredibly generous/borderline insane comparison of Dererk Pardon to a young Zack Randolph.  While he may not have an immediate future in the NBA, let's not rule out head case just yet.
