Sorry for switching gears but I miss Bo

Games decided by single digits at Nebraska

Bo Pelini 20-11

Bill Callahan 10-7

Mike Riley 7-10

Scott Frost 5-22

Matt Rhule 2-10

Now it’s really officially Nebrasketball Season

North Florida beat Georgia Tech and South Carolina already and they can score it offensively. Must come to play tomorrow

Teams that struggle against us are usually the ones who try and do too much passing. Creighton had some shots they passed up on and then got out of sorts. If a team shoots confidently against us the first one or two good looks they get, they usually fare better.

The biggest criticism of Bo was "He can't win the big ones."

So what's common amongst all five of these coaches: couldn't win the big ones. At least Bo could win all the others.

There once was a stat where Pelini held company only with Nick Saben and Chip Kelly for most consecutive 9-win seasons. Good company to be around.

Back there in 2014 when Shawn Eichorst (and his toupee) fired Pelini, who would've thought Bo's cumulative win-loss record would be better than each of the next three coaches that followed him (not counting Barney Cotton or Mickey Joseph).

I do sort of miss Beau Reid though; especially when he used to interact with us  on this site.

Side note, I wonder if Bo and Doc still interact.  If I correctly recall, they forged a pretty decent friendship while here.  They even played golf together at Augusta National.

Bo was a a good coach; but man, he was chippy with certain members of press.  He also sort of crumbled under the pressure of the Nebraska machine.  That said, I would take his record right now.  His offense even would look good;)

We had like two Indiana type catastrophic games every year under Bo. It’s an interesting conversation: would you rather have a hard ceiling of 9 wins and when you play a good team you get obliterated or would you rather have the potential to win more but somehow lose 6 games in the dumbest way possible.

I almost missed the wink at the end of this.
