Anybody know anything more?  This is all I have seen and I don't have a subscription.  Someone responded about missing a couple games.

rob said something along the lines of this: it’s still sowlen, but he’s already feeling better. he wants to return for our first game vs linden wood, but that doesn’t seem likely. most likely not out long

I'd bet money on Lindenwouldn't. Much better to come back on a healthier ankle and not during a game that's nearly less relevant than playing Doane in an exhibition.

If it's not a high ankle sprain, and just a normal ankle roll, the absolute worst thing you can do is rest and stay off it. Obviously I am not a doctor, but I have been around ankle rolls for the last 18 years. When you blow it (high ankle sprain diagnosed by a medical professional), you know. When it's just a roll, you literally want to try to walk it off or it will tighten up on you and cause you more problems. High school kids get this wrong all the time. I've seen kids barely roll it, it never get black and blue or swells up like crazy, and they'll still go get a boot and be out weeks.

You need to at least brace it if not boot it to allow it to heal, but I agree that you need to keep it moving during that process as well. If you simply don't rest it at all, you run the risk of cartilage damage/erosion and arthritis far sooner than someone should have, which would kill the career of a basketball player. If it's a serious normal roll, you need to ease back into it so that it allows the ligaments to heal while the gradual PT will minimize scar tissue.

Keisei came back onto the bench without any crutches or maybe even ice so it didn't seem bad.  Possible he might have went back out there had it been a critical game. Also possible he might not play the first two games simply because those opponents should be beatable with the rest of the squad.

Yep, don't disagree here. But kids and parents are way too soft with these and they end up doing more damage than what actually happened. Just my opinion from experience (and several ankle rolls myself)!

You’re not a doctor but did you stay at a Holiday Inn last night?
