busticket Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 Even though he isn’t a pure PG he is a great get given the Uhlis situation. Great job by the staff! Five 1 Quote
imnothipp Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 Pretty remarkable this late in the game. Five 1 Quote
basketballjones Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 I got "middle-class man James Palmer's" vibe from his highlights. Not quite the athlete or length as JP, but I saw some similarities. Long striders, smooth, like the ball in their hands, strokes looked kinda similar... Good pick-up! Doesn't look much like a PG, but certainly looks like he has good court vision and passing skills. Five 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 Nice. This should be a good pick up. The one concern would be chemistry. Hopefully a great fit. HuscurAdam 1 Quote

Wasn't necessarily in love with the Ulis pick-up but I didn't worry about where he fit in offensively (as far as taking things away from others), was more happy about adding a defender who didn't necessarily need the ball. This guy definitely "needs" the ball. He's very skilled offensively. Quote
Vinny Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 I like it and so do the computers. This and subtracting Ulis moves us up two spots to 43 according to Barttorvik. 49r, Five and dustystehl 2 1 Quote

It’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts to a lead guard role but think he has the skills. Five 1 Quote
TourneyBound Posted August 6, 2023 Author Report Posted August 6, 2023 The experience we are going to have next year is something we haven’t had in awhile!! Will be interesting! GBR Five and Handy Johnson 2 Quote
Cornbread21 Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 This year is going to be super interesting to watch how Fred tries to blend all of the unique offensive talents on the team. If Fred truly is the offensive savant that so many give him credit for, this will be the year to prove it. I think that there is a world where all this scoring talent comes together beautifully. However, I can also see the opposite. The Nebrasketball skeptic in me is very cautious. roscoe, HuscurAdam and basketballjones 2 1 Quote
Faux Mike Peltz Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 Considering the timing, I’d say this is a great get!! Handy Johnson 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 I am left to ponder the question; who "recruited" Boogie? This all started happening whilst we were out of the country and we had limited cell phone usage. Somebody pulled off some magic. Quote

REDZONEDAN Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 James Palmer-esque is a very good comparison. Looks like a very nice pick up this time of year. HuscurAdam 1 Quote

I think at Ball St last season they probably needed him to dominate the ball but if you look at his previous season in Missouri he didn't dominate touches (no one did). No idea what he will do here but at least as the track record of being a 'share the ball guy on a Power 4 team' Quote
hhcmatt Posted August 6, 2023 Report Posted August 6, 2023 This guy screams starting PG who averages 6-7 assists a game starting for Nebraska. Remarkable pickup at this point in the year. dustystehl, jayschool, cornfed24-7 and 6 others 9 Quote
