I’m going, & I’d forgotten Colorado was in the Sweet 16 last year. Should be a good test…

Honestly I expect them to smack us around pretty good.  Colorado is a good basketball team led by their big bruiser Evan Battey.  Their 2021 recruiting class was rated higher than ours, featuring four 4* guys, the headliner of their class is 7 footer Lawson Lovering from Laramie Wyoming.

They went on a foreign tour this summer, to Costa Rica playing four games against unknown quality competition, but one of the teams they beat by 90!!! points.

Their one exhibition game last week was a 30 point win over D2 School of Mines (CO).  They finished 3rd in the Pac 12 last year so they are used to winning home and away.

Our young boys looked pretty mediocre to poor against Peru for about 35 minutes of the game, so I expect while we are spending our time working out the kinks, Colorado will most likely be spending their time polishing an already pretty finished product.  It would not surprise me to see them beat us by 20 or more tomorrow.

My dad and I too!  First game ever as a season ticket holder (I had a work event for Peru)

Hope you and your dad have an amazing time! Cherish it. My dad and I have been season ticket holders since 1977.  He will be 80 in March.

Actually they only return two starters and are picked to finish 8th in the PAC 12. Still better than where we are picked to finish in the B1G. They do have some talent to replace the starters, many of whom played last year as freshman. They have a powerful & crafty returning starting 6’6” center who should be there leading scorer.

Man, this Colorado team is absolute garbage.  I was really wrong about them, sorry about that.

Enjoyed watching the game on B1Gplus until the 3:50 mark when it froze my computer and never returned nor let me start over. Anyway, I appreciated the freebie but would not pay for it if this happens routinely.

I think it might be somewhere in the middle of “they aren’t as good as most think” and “we could be better than most think”

Actually it reminded me of some of our earlier Husker teams, when we couldn't buy a bucket for our lives.  Toward the end they were getting into their groove (and cut the lead to a dozen points in the 2nd half.   The thing that was most impressive about the Huskers is how they came out with all the energy in the world (Fred talked about this in his post-game interview).  They lost a little of their edge in the middle of the 2nd half before getting their edge back and reclaiming the momentum.  Two things I'm not as concerned about this year as before are players fouling out, with the depth we have, and extended scoring droughts, with the play-makers we have.

Same thing happened to me.  Froze and then disappeared.  Glad to see the guys didn't let Colorado get any closer in last 4 minutes.

Despite our depth, one player that needs to stay out of foul trouble is Verge. We are a better team offensively when he is running the point.

In addition to just on laptops, BTN+ runs on a lot of platforms, some play directly on your TV ('Roku, 'Fire' and 'Apple,' and streaming services like SLING-TV, HULU, You Tube TV, DIRECTV STREAM). You can even watch on your 'Smart Phone' if you are 'on the go.'

I use Apple play and No glitches.  Only four more MBB games will be on BTN+  but the big benefit will be watching Women's Basketball where 18 games (including their exhibition game vs Madison State Midland Tomorrow) will be live streamed.

Who were the announcers today?  One kept referring to Nebraska as “we”—but still had great observations and insights.

Nebraska's director of basketball oops buzzy carothers.
