All joking aside if a coach is recruiting his son are there any violations for texting if he is just texting his kid? I doubt the NCAA would be that dumb but just imagine.

Not surprising though.  Great education opportunity.  John Cook sent his kids there, as did Bill Callahan and Bo Pelini.

I know those three coaches were Catholic so Pius they had that going for them.

Are you sure about that Silver.  I know Callahan and Bo are Catholic, but I was once told that Cook was not.  He could be, I just heard differently.  I do know that Coach Cook redshirted his son while at Pius, but I do not know the ins and outs of how that occurred.

Cook's son played on a soccer team I coached and my son played on.. I thought he went through all the way in the Catholic School system.. Could be wrong.. And his son was hurt (my son thinks it was his neck) and he got an extra year of school because I think he had to miss so much after the injury, or something like that. Great kid, Mom was very, very nice too. Never met dad.
