In retrospect, the easy early lead may have led to some complacency and we did not respond when Tech hit us in the mouth.

What is concerning is this is what most B1G teams are going to look like, not the first 4 games- so we have a ton of work to do.

I think if Palmer didn't get in foul trouble early, we might have rolled. Those 2 quick ones totally destroyed the momentum and changed the way the game was played

Well then, that's something we need to work on. No excuse for having an obvious flaw teams an exploit, and running into this team in the tourney and just shrugging and bending over. Time to learn from the tape. Tech is incredible at what they do, but nothing is impossible to scheme against.

That's the problem, these other teams don't even get called for a foul when they punch people in the mouth.

Pretty much hate everything about what happened in this game tonight. Reminded me too much of what I've been watching for the past 15+ years.

This was an ugly game.  Palmer with 3 charges. (1 legit) Miles got T'd up.  Refs killed momentum of the game and left the team frustrated.  They continued to be frustrated and became flat.  It's not the end of the world, but beating a Elite 8 school the previous year would have been huge for this team's confidence.  This type of game could shatter it back to the way they played last year before conference play.

 

Palmer again was pretty invisible tonight.  He needs to take control of these games and be a leader on the floor. 

 

A few more of these type performances and Miles will be done this year.
