Opposing 3pt shooter to watch: Christophe Varidel
You know that guy on the opposing team who kills us with three pointers? Here is the guy on their team who has shot more threes than twos and is hitting over half of them. His name is also Christophe so one can imagine he's the kind of guy who leaves his hand hanging in the air for 5 seconds after shooting.
BONUS 3pter: Filip Cvjeticanin is a 6-9 Croatian who has attempted 28 shots and in tall European player fashion has attempted 22 treys. He's only made 7 so hopefully this isn't his one shining moment.
Opposing players to watch: Sherwood Brown, Bernard Thompson, Brett Comer
For the guard oriented Eagles, "Run TCB" are the guys that generate the bulk of the scoring. Junior Sherwood Brown is more of a perimeter shooter not shy to put up a 3. Freshman Thompson functions as the shooting guard and while his accuracy isn't the best, he draws plenty of contact. Freshman point Comer is both an assist and turnover machine with a 5.4 assist to 4.5 turnover ratio
Opposing players to watch: FGCU Big Men
Speaking of slump busting, if you're looking for the Husker big men to get going in a game look no further than FGCU. None of these guys are much of a threat offensively and given their stats I can't see them being that great on defense either. If you were hoping to see some Christopher Neimann action this might be your game.

Just what the Doc ordered, right?....a no-name team to come to the Devaney to boost the Husker Nation self-esteem. However, this is a trap game waiting to happen for a Husker team that has been happy to underestimate opponents all year. FGCU has lost on the road to Miami and Maryland by 10 or less and to TCU and SMU by 1.
FGCU is a bit of a Nebraska clone in that they patiently work the ball around looking for the high percentage shot and aren't afraid to use the shot clock to find or not find it. Unlike Nebraska, they will crash the boards on offense even though they really shouldn't have an advantage. They'll also turn the ball over like it's their job, foul the heck out of you, and not keep you off the offensive glass.
Here is the Doc's prescription: Fast break points plus big man touches....it's just that simple. If you see the Huskers jack up 3s in this game this season is really over.
Prediction: Huskers 65- Eagles 46 with a 73% chance of Runzas
