Silverbacked1 Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Just got a husker alert on my email and I thought it might be that Ed got off the plane and hugged Tim and said it is nice to be home. But no, guess Bondi broke his collar bone in a motorcycle wreak last night. Quote
HuskerActuary Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Sounds like Osborne is making an effort to meet with Ed and his family this weekend, given the prior relationship between Ed Sr. and Osborne. Papa Morrow wanted this. Silverbacked1, AuroranHusker and ShortDust 3 Quote
HuskerCager Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Can't help but notice that Miles tweeted that recruits are in town. Who else besides Morrow? Roby is supposed to be here next weekend. Maybe he's referring to football recruits. Quote

_young1 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Please commit this weekend!!!! Quote
kldm64 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Jacobson in town with Morrow I believe too..... Correct and the freshman from Omaha that already committed in on an un-official visit as well. Quote
ShortDust Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 I'm getting good vibes today... We will just have to wait and see Quote
lanigan123 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Yes looking at morrow right now take pictures at warm ups Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 If the fans at this football game don't make morrow want to play for Nebraska then I don't know what would get him to commit!!!! Quote
AuroranHusker Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 I think Nebrasketball fans will be happy about the state of Husker Hoops on the recruiting front. GBR Quote
jimmykc Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Judging from Morrow's body language, interaction with others, and general demeanor on the sideline yesterday during my brief and very subjective glimpse, he is not wildly enthusiastic about dear old NU. But perhaps he is just a good poker player or had an overcooked runza. Quote
HB Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Judging from Morrow's body language, interaction with others, and general demeanor on the sideline yesterday during my brief and very subjective glimpse, he is not wildly enthusiastic about dear old NU. But perhaps he is just a good poker player or had an overcooked runza. Saw the Morrow entourage at the volleyball game also. He looked fairly stoic there as well; probably just his personality. It was an impressive sight and sound if one is into fan support. Quote
Chuck Taylor Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 As much as we'd like to think fan support matters, this is a 17-year-old kid looking for a place to go to school. I'd say the bigger factors are the relationship with the coaches, the distance from home and wanting to please (or displease) his parents, who are NU grads. That being said, I'll be surprised if he doesn't commit (and mention the great fans when he does). Quote
HolyBobpilgrimage Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 I agree. If you think about it though, that's a lot of pressure to pick a college when your family has history here. I wouldn't be surprised if he went somewhere else just to do something new in the family, as I think Husker fans put too much into the historical connections. However, I'd still see him committing considering what all we have going here. I mean, it is pretty exciting what we have going, and I don't see why you wouldn't want to be part of it, especially when your other options include iowa (which I'd be surprised if he chose. Horrible choice lol). Of course that's just my bias speaking, but STILL. Quote
Chuck Taylor Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 I don't get Iowa either. Couple of years ago it looked like Fran was a pyscho, but he was building a good roster. Now it looks like his team blew up at the end of last year (because he's a psycho?) and his leading scorer has graduated. Not sure what he's selling these days. Quote

His son was going through cancer treatments, I believe, during that stretch run. It looked to me when I watched them play they were a distracted bunch. Quote

Huskerpapa Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 I would hope that he was cool and collected and preparing to make a decision soon. sssssssssss....that would be the fuse attached to the dynamite.... Quote
_young1 Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Does the guy at the other message board who "knew" white and Watson were commiting have anything to say about morrow right now? If we don't get a commit within the coming week I may be a bit worried..., Quote
Brandon4Real_X Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Just wondered this but do you guys think the on field fighting could turn off a recruit? Even though Nebraska never started it I was wondering if could give Morrow a negative sign? Quote
trickey Posted September 21, 2014 Author Report Posted September 21, 2014 Just wondered this but do you guys think the on field fighting could turn off a recruit? Even though Nebraska never started it I was wondering if could give Morrow a negative sign? Doubtful...at this level of athleticism, you will see that much in a practice. Last night did not seem like a big deal as far as football fights go. Quote

Some controlled emotion on the field doesn't quite rival what he deals with in Chicago. lanigan123, bobcat402, colhusker and 1 other 4 Quote
