Cale played 36 minutes. His play made it hard to keep him off the floor. His last three halves have been very impressive. Solid and steady.

His steady, no-nonsense play was a breath of fresh air. I had full confidence that he'd make a play. And he delivered with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocked shots. Proud of Cale, he's the Johnny Trueblood of this team!

It took Georgetown 25 minutes to get their first 30 points. They got their next 30 points in 10 minutes.

Malik Mack scored nearly every time and it still wasn't enough for them to make it a close game. I'm sure glad M.M. started out tonight 1-10, because he finished 7-16.

Just saw my life flash before my eyes as Ulis worked in and sunk a jumper

I saw that and figured we were going to win because I had never seen pigs fly before. Then Ulis sunk that 14' jump shot, and I had officially seen it all.

I am as excited about Cale's performances as the next guy. I think we do need to take into consideration  that Arizona State had one big man and he fouled out in playing very few minutes. Georgetown was missing three starters including a post they lost earlier this year that was projected as a one and done. They didn't have a "real" post and the closest they did to that fouled out. Morgan could have set career highs if he had become the primary focus. Boise State will be bigger including one of the Hanson triplets from Slap shot. We will not be able to play with that small line up for very long without getting punished.

I think you start Meah if he is healthy with Morgan off the bench.  Morgan just plays better coming from the bench.

The dude was interviewed on The Ticket this morning.  His name is Rob and he works at one of the Bryan hospitals in Lincoln.

Funny interview.  He bought the ticket on line as he was vacationing in Vegas.  He actually sat there for the Boise game as well.  Got some funny looks from the bench in both games but everything was cool with some handshakes and fist bumps.

He was surprised by the location and simply took in the game with beer in hand.

At the half, he was asked by a tournament official if he would rather move into the Nebraska section, and he accepted the move.

His phone has blown up.  He is heading home and will not be attending the semis.

Sounds like Rob needs a fill in for Saturday and Sunday. I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!

Old photo of stockyard

If Cale keeps up this level of play he'll be able to dress as well as his great great great grandfather Peter Jacobsen did
