Hate Creighton.  Only one favorite team this week because my two favorite basketball teams are the Huskers and whoever is playing Creighton.

I have a friend who is a Creighton fan and of course a Husker Football fan.  He is always posting how much Nebraska Basketball sucks and then how much Nebraska fans think about Creighton all the time but he's the one posting about us, at least when he is not posting about supporting Nebraska Football.  The thing is he didn't even grow up in Nebraska, he did go to Creighton so I get his support for the team but then why be a Jaysker especially now he could pick a better football team.

Go Big Red!  Beat Creighton!

I had a roommate over on 12th & Charleston in a 6 bedroom house who spent his first year at Creighton (Millard North Grad) & we Hazed him for being a “Dandy” or possibly a Mole for the Hated Bluejays. Who do indeed Suck.

Last year was worse than I even remembered

To add context, last year we were getting our teeth kicked in at home 52-37.  For halftime, out comes the "zooperstars", a series of inflatable mascots with names like "Snail Earnhardt Jr." who tend to perform their hijinks at baseball games.  Spent the next 5 minutes seeing Snail Earnhardt's snail hole.  It was the first time in my memory that the halftime entertainment was booed off the court.

I think Kent has called 35 of these games, not the 41 as stated here.

We've played Creighton 50 times since 1977. Warren Swain and Randy Lee called 11 of them from 1996 to 2005.  From 1989 to 1992 Larry Moehlenbrink stepped in to call basketball games for KFAB as Kent was busy with station duties.  It's possible that Kent called the 4 Creighton-Nebraska games during that time so it's possible he's called between 35 and 39.

If I’m not mistaken I believe they are now THREE Games ahead of us in the All-Time Series & that’s after having a sizable advantage the last 15 years.

We might also get beat by 30 tonight. We'll see I suppose. GO SKERS.

I'm feeling a bit more confident. In fact I even changed my score prediction...to losing by 15 instead of 25 😭

Sometimes if I have a bowel movement that takes me away from my family for an extended time I'll refer to it as a semester at creighton.

Donating to the Creighton Alumni swimming team 😀

I've always had a ton of affinity for Coach McDermott and the way they operate their basketball program (cheating allegations aside). What has always irked me is their fans, their students, and many of their players.

F Creighton. Bunch of pricks.

I’ve never been more happy to be wrong.

It was a pretty decent weekend, don't you think.  We played decently and beat a clearly outmanned Creighton men's basketball team.  The football team finally played a good football game and beat Wisconsin, gaining bowl eligibility for the first time in ages.  The volleyball team played okay and beat Wisconsin into submission.   Alas, our one stumble was the Husker women playing their hearts out in their first game post-Potts injury.  They came up short.

All said, passing grade. 😉
