KenPom usually likes to wait until the day of the game to make his prediction because:

1).  The algorithm on his eBay can alter his predictions from day to day, so he wants to get the most up-to-date prediction in this contest, and

2).  It prevents someone else from hacking the contest by simply copying his predictions game to game

 

Also, KenPom predicts 17 total wins this year, not 18.
