TourneyBound Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 The team has quit…. The amount of wide open 3s we give up is infuriating! How many pick and roll 3s did we give up to Nance! No effort to fight thru screens. God I’m done with this team and staff BjoeHusker 1 Quote

HuskerFever Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 Worthy of a mention now in such a horrific season... Congrats, Bryce, on surpassing Hoppen's freshman points record. Quote
jason2486 Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 No one has gotten better, and most have regressed. Bryce would be averaging about 7 ppg on 18% shooting if not for getting to the FT line. If Fred's back, you almost have to blow up the main rotation guys. They appear to be unsalvageable at this point, even Trey, and to some extent, Derrick. If Fred's gone, maybe some rotation guys do better with a fresh start at HC. Quote

Navin R. Johnson Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 The 1-3-1 was interesting. Looks like they would start in a 1-3-1 to slow the offense down, make them make a few passes and then go man trying to force a bad shot at the end of the shot clock. Fred's first Big Ten victory was actually against Purdue in which Cam Mack had a triple double, the 1st in Nebraska basketball history. That was after NU lost in OT at Indiana. Those were the two Dec. B1G games in Hoiberg's 1st season; The Iowa win was after the turn of the new year, a game the Hawkeyes shot 4-33 on threes, yet only lost 76-70. Handy Johnson Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 Anytime you break a record belonging to Dave Hoppen you’ve certainly accomplished something. If you would have told me Bryce would do that on 1 win Conference team I’d still be waiting for the “punch line”… AuroranHusker 1 Quote
