As awful as this team has been this year, the last 12 minutes was as bad as anything yet this season. Somehow, this group continues to move the bar lower.

Iowa need only send out Bohanan and Murray for the 2nd half.  We’ll still lose by 20.

This team is so mentally fragile.  They play hard for 40 minutes against Minnesota, when they can't make shots.  When one team, Northwestern or Iowa, start making shots, we get frustrated.  We start playing hero ball, and our effort level on the defensive end and on the glass goes in the toilet.

It's really not great when the halftime commentators say "Is there anything positive to come out of this for Hoiberg?"

 

And the answer is essentially "He's a wine aficionado and has a satellite site in the wine cellar to watch game film, so he'll have more time down there to watch and let the wine age."

Maybe Tominaga had trouble converting the number of seconds to the metric system on that last play.  Shang Ping was deported  from D-1 for less.

I don’t think that is part of Fred’s job.   He has Matt for that

Our favorite whipping boy, Verge, seems to be the only guy who can generate scoring opportunities. Iowa is playing so much harder on defense and they are not a good defensive team.
