Sooo, according to the poster "49r" on your little message board, there, RPI Forecast projects your Huskers finishing the non-conference at 9-4 and going 9-9 in conference. Eighteen wins, .500 in conference, that's pretty tempting, yes?

  1. 1. If I offered you the choice of taking 18 regular season wins overall and 9-9 in conference, would you ...

    • Take the 18 wins

    • Take what's behind door #3.

Now that more votes have come in, I'll provide a little justification for my vote (door #3). I think most of us would feel that 18 wins this season would be considered a solid season for us. However, I not only think our team has the potential to exceed 18 wins and I feel the players themselves wouldn't accept that offer either.

I wish for better, but if we get to 18 wins and 9-9 in conference, that would be pretty darn successful.

And if the B1G does as well as I hope they do, we may be on the bubble.

If we had beaten either Cinci or Miami I may have taken the 18. Without either of those in the W column I don't think 18 wins and .500 in conference makes the tournament. Pass.

We are gonna be kicking ourselves late in the year for not closing one of those two out.

As of today RPI Forecast has it about 50-50 that we will finish either 13-18 (23.69%) or 14-17 (24.10%).

The good news though, if you can call it that, is we have 71% chance of winning @Rutgers and 75% next week vs. Minnesota.

2-3 going into the game @Illinois (where they say we're 2.8 point dogs) with a shot at 3-3 wouldn't suck, IMO.
