Norm Peterson Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 My pick? David Rivers. Kid has heart. Good attitude from everything I have seen. And a good motor. You know how they say with some strains of bamboo, it grows so fast you can almost literally SEE it growing? From year 1 to year 2, that was David Rivers. Bamboo. You could about literally see him getting better week by week. Bamboo. David Rivers. Don't sell him short. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Serj only because hes really tall so he cant be short. Quote
Cazzie22 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Mike Peltz. I thought he did some good things for the team early last season. Probably won't see much time but having better people to practice against will make this team better prepared. Quote
colhusker Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Norm I am in agreement, if young Mr. Rivers improves as much between last year and this year as he did before last year (ahhh some coaching them up) he could surprise folks. Quote
hskr4life Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Gallegos. Yes I know that this is a strange pick, and many people see Ray as a big contributor, but I remember a lot of people bashing his poor shooting percentage last year. I think that he greatly improves on this this year, and will be a much better shooter. It will help him to not HAVE to be the go to for a 3. Just my two cents. Quote
atskooc Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 How long before each member on the roster makes his way in to this thread? leonidas and hhcmatt 2 Quote
Hooper Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 My vote is for Nate Hawkins. Most of the attention has been on Webster and Fuller, but Hawkins is a good all-around player who I believe will play quite a bit this year. Quote

Someone posted film of him in the Robinson thread and I was very impressed. I'm excited to see him play at the college level. Quote
49r Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Shavon Shields. Kid can flat out ball, and he's pretty much the team leader out there. Love that guy! c'mon, everyone KNOWS I had to be the one to say it. Quote
GATA Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Benny Parker. I think he can be a quality guard for Doane. (Ducks) Quote
AuroranHusker Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Leslee Smith - I think he will be a beast in the rebounding dep't. Quote

I would go with Rivers also, Doc didn't give the kid much of a chance. Quote
trickey Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Tim Miles....well you never said "player". But if he is better than I think, then we are in for a great decade! Where do we put the new trophies in the arena? Quote
FredsSlacks Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Nick Fuller. I see him battling Rivers to be our 6th man. I think he is a better offensive player than Rivers and will probably earn more playing time than him. that's assuming our starters are tai, ray, petteway, shields, pitchford which is what this board voted on as our starters a month ago. jamar1700 Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Obvious answer... Anyone! Don't sell anyone short. You just never know. hhcmatt 1 Quote
Searching 4 Chester Surles Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 My pick? David Rivers. Kid has heart. Good attitude from everything I have seen. And a good motor. That would've been my pick a year ago. The kid was getting absolutely demolished around here last Summer. I think the majority opinion was that he should transfer to a D2 school. Shavon Shields. Kid can flat out ball, and he's pretty much the team leader out there. Love that guy! I actually second this. Sure, nobody is selling SS short, but I really think he's the player on the team with the highest ceiling. He could develop into a monster. I just hope he has the opportunity to play more in the backcourt/on the wing than being forced to man the 4. Quote
PimpMario Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Biggs. He is short but his name Biggs. He isn't getting enough love. atskooc 1 Quote
TomEadesSucks Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I'm going to go with Petteway. Kid seems to be a natural leader, relentless, and talented. Quote
hhcmatt Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I'll say Surge. Dude needed to put on weight and strength and he has. We only have three scholarship players over 6'7" and 200#. He is one of them. Quote

Huskerpapa Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Serg played about the same amount of minutes last year as Walter played for Florida as a freshman. Just saying...wait...did I just say that...yikes. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 18, 2013 Author Report Posted September 18, 2013 Walter was at Florida. Serge was at Nebraska. Can't judge Walter by comparing him with what we saw from Sergej last year. Quote
