Should have been 6 had Berke made a free throw.  You get one defensive stop on the next possession and you are pretty close to just needing to make free throws to close the game.  But sometimes you just need to make a shot to win and again we couldn't.  Brice missing the free throw at the end of the game (assuming OSU doesn't make a shot to win).  Brice at the end of OT.

 

Anyway I did say that the reffing at the Hawaii tournament would be better than big 10 reffing...

I agree with this.  Brice is probably one of the best pure shooters we've had and Fred chose to surround him with Rollie, Connor, Morgan, Berke, Meah, Gavin, and Ulis.  I like Fred and hopefully we can get a little more NIL support, but he can't miss on this next transfer portal class as much as he did on this one.

To say that these are the players they "chose" isn't completely accurate. Over the past two portal periods they have tried to get more upscale offensive performers however these guys have chosen to go elsewhere. Back in 2023 they swung and missed on about 4 different point guards before having to settle on Uhlis. Some of the same last year. Whether it's NIL offers or the way they present the program to these portal prospects, they need to find a way to get these premium transfers to say yes.

I remember a scenario similar to what just occurred.   The year : 1994. The opponent :  Missouri. We get hosed.  Our next 3 games we beat Oklahoma, Missouri,  and Oklahoma State to win the Big 8 tournament.   Let's repeat history.

The margin for error in this league is so thin - even as poorly as we've played at times in the past several games, If we flip the results from two shots in the past week, one 24% 3-pt shooter from Minnesota making a late 3 and our 90% FT shooter missing a late FT in OT, we're still fighting for a first-round bye in the B1G tourney and wondering how high we're going to be seeded in the NCAAs instead of what we're facing now. Insanity.

My friend is a division I official. He will not be named. He does not do big ten games. He told me you have a 3’ box -but must keep one foot planted. The Ohio State player did not keep his pivot foot planted nor did he remain within a 3’ box on the inbound play. He was more in disbelief about the overturned out of bounds call since it was called nebraska ball live. Said there was no way that’s indisputable evidence to overturn it

In a vacuum, I get that missing the call on the out of bounds with 3 seconds left where we're down three or missing a FT in regulation are reasons we didn't deserve to win.  I get that we've blown a bunch of games this season to put us in this position.

 

I'm still mad about having to eat the bowl of dogshit with the catturd on top on a game that was so poorly officiated that anyone who watched it and wasn't a Nebraska fan could see it.

Corrupt conference wanted OSU to 'dance' and didn't care to hide their obvious bias in the process. Nebraska will always be Jr. Members of this League. Just look at the football game in CBus this past fall. Nebraska should have had the ball at the 1/2 yard line and the refs spotted it at the 2, and on 4th down OSU stopped us. Well, it wouldn't have been a stop if the ball was spotted correctly at 18" from the goal line. All season thereafter I heard commentators tell everyone how great OSU is at stopping 4th & goal. Well, no shit, if the refs cheat NU that badly in football with that many eyes on it, so, of course they'll screw NU in hoops, too. This is total bullshit, a travesty of epic proportions. Being cheated over & over. If money weren't great, Nebraska ought to leave this corrupt league & never look back. But, the money's too good, so we have to suffer watching & having to gobble up this bullshit over & over.
