crazy we still have 4 open spots after replacing a large portion of what we lost.

Between Blaise, Lloyd and Ulis we ended up with three scholarships that contributed nothing to the games. We should pry expect 2-3 scholarships to have little to no impact each season, so we still have some work to do.

Really excited about this one. Range and length. Add some weight and he could be great in Fred’s offense.

When G.G. was killin' NU at Rutgers with his made bombs in the last opportune times for the Huskers, I was thinking even way back then that he'd be a great fit in Lincoln. I guess the James Palmer Jr. effect took place, get a dude who competed against the Huskers, particularly at PBA, to come be a part of Nebrasketball. If it works even half as well as JPJ next year, that'd be a nice fill-in for some of KT30's offensive game. And this dude's 6'-8" so presumably he ought to help on defense more than Keisei!! GBR Always.

And can we all agree to not get too overexcited about the token 6’11” high ceiling 17 year old we bring in this summer to be on the scout team next season

We can agree (as I know that I will not uphold this agreement when we sign some 7’1 young man from England by way of Nigeria, and I blow his highlights way out of proportion, and talk myself into him being all conference in 3 years, as I forgot all prior evidence that these rarely stay 3-4 years)

A bridge too far, millerhusker. A bridge too far.

Our roster is too senior laden to get excited for D2 3pt specialists looking to prove they can play in D1 though

I think a good comparison for Griffiths is Payton Sandfort from Iowa.

Both have good length and can shoot lights out.

Sandfort struggled his first year in the Big Ten, averaged 10 per game his sophomore year and then exploded last year.

I think its reasonable to expect Griffiths to average double figures.

Great pickup!

I see a poor man’s Brice. Can drive well, shoots well, seems to understand the game, smooth, seems to play okay defense.
Think if he grows into his body he is going to be a guy that we are very, very, very happy he came here.

I think we’ll be happy too, if he’s here for more than a year. You never know these days.  Also, keep in mind we saw year four Brice last year. This will just be Griffiths’ second year. Definitely time to become a not poor man’s Brice.

Great pickup. 5* kid who needed a year to put his game together at the B1G level. This is one of those situations where you’re happy to be the player’s second stop rather than the school he chose out of high school. Rutgers got him when he was pure potential. We got him for the year(s) he will be productive.

Maybe with some NIL money he can afford to get lasik.

Or perhaps he becomes a spokesperson for a lasik surgeon as part of the overall package.
