One week from today I believe we crack the top 25.  For the time being, we are at least opening some eyes:

It’s better than asking when spring practice starts for Big Red baseball for sure.  Something tells me that seasons going to sneak up on us basketball fans this year.

As I posted in the other thread, this would put us at the equivalent to #44 which tracks pretty well with KenPom

Isn’t there a site where you can see individual voters?  Would love to see if it was multiple people voting or 1 guy with us really

AP you can get the individual voters, but I dont think you can for the coaches

Northwestern getting votes in the AP poll still is whack.  Guess they're still benefitting from that big win over Purdue.

Their loss to Chicago State should have effectively canceled the victory over PU, but alas. . . a lot of media members graduated from Northwestern.

Yeah, this info is available for AP voters but not Coaches.  When we received the 4 AP votes a few weeks ago, this came from one voter voting us #21...not 4 voters voting us #25.

The bottom end of the votes at the end of the AP Poll, seems likely it's one voter tabbing a team with a singular ranking for a lot of these teams.

This represents the high water mark for the year in terms of number of votes.  While not particularly meaningful in terms of getting into the tournament, having a number next to your name guarantees you more exposure on tv (i.e. a 15 second highlight or scroll along the bottom of the top 25 games) and can do nothing but help in recruiting.  A couple more convincing wins this week and we're probably knocking on the door,

And this is why AP rankings make zero sense when it comes to the tournament. Give me an At-Large bid everyday over being ranked.

I really don’t want to be ranked right now.  Don’t need that added pressure.  Keep winning and we’ll be ranked at the end of the season, which is all I care about right now when it comes to rankings.

It's the same reason I think that Washington got votes.  They actually meant Wazzu.

Football state…fine. But read the room!!! And this is why the tourney win this year will mean so much to all of us on this board who have longed for this day! And this is just the beginning!!! GBR!!!
