hhcmatt Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 Nebraska landed their second member of the class of 2023 with the commitment of 6'7" guard Eli Rice from Gallatin, TN. Originally in the class of 2022, Rice landed a spot at prep powerhouse IMG Academy and reclassified to 2023. Rice picked Nebraska out of a final three that included VCU and Georgetown. At the moment, Nebraska currently has one scholarship remaining for 2023. View full article BjoeHusker 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 Seems to be a very good fit. Shoot he just had a 6 or 7 inch growth spurt..Welcome young man! Quote
hhcmatt Posted August 10, 2022 Author Report Posted August 10, 2022 We offered Rice on July 11th and he took an unofficial last week, which is lightning fast for a commitment in part because of prior relationships with Emmanuel Toney and Adam Howard. BjoeHusker and thrasher31 1 1 Quote

Fullbacksympathy Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 Looks like a good all around player with sneaky athleticism. Probably big enough to play the 4 and stretch the court. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 It's a good day to gain a commitment from Mr. Rice. GBR Quote

His training up to this point has likely focused on back court skills. I see him at a possible advantage matching up against smaller guards IF quickness allows it. Quote

busticket Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 In all honesty, watching him reminds me of a taller version of Wilcher. Not the quickest guy but a very smooth stroke. Quote

But he played 36 minutes on an excellent team -- the next two highest-minutes players were at 28 minutes each. And he got to the free throw line, hitting 9 of 9. HuscurAdam 1 Quote
