All this Braden Frager going to school early talk reminds me that 21 year old Yvan Ouedraogo is starting year 5 at Cal Baptist

If Ouedraogo had been able to follow the Derrick Walker plan he'd be a senior in the 2027-2028 season.

Oleg played 22 minutes in Wyomings opening season win.  He had 11 points and 6 rebounds.  Looks like was the first man off the bench.  He must have had a 3-pointer as well.

Oleg is the one I wished had remained of the guys mentioned here recently. I think he had real potential, perhaps Wyoming is the place he will be in a position to realize that potential better than in Lincoln...

I'd be interested in seeing how he does vs a D1 school. Also not sure we land Diop if he is still here.

He had shown signs of development last year for sure from when he had first arrived.  Happy that he is contributing at Wyoming.

That's fair, and basically why I mentioned that finding his real potential at a smaller program might be best for all worlds.

Player of the Week: Kevin Cross, Tulane Green Wave

Cross has steadily improved in each of his four seasons at Tulane, going from 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 2020-21 to 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in this campaign. But the former Nebraska Cornhusker transfer put together a historic week, becoming just the second Division I player to have a 20-point triple-double in consecutive games since assists became a universally kept stat in 1983-84. Another note via ESPN Stats & Information: Cross is just the third Division I men's player since 2007-08 with back-to-back triple-doubles.

The 6-foot-8 forward started with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists (and six steals, for good measure) in a double-overtime win over Furman on Thursday, then followed it with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists (and four blocks) in a win over Southern on Saturday. Cross missed just four shots from the field all week, shooting 13-for-17 inside the arc and 2-for-2 from 3.

The super fun part about Kevin Cross is that I assume he was run off because he was a Doc recruit and not a Matt A recruit.  If someone knows differently, feel free to correct me.

I don't think that's why. A lot of Matt's recruits were forced out after a season as well.

I always thought it was his decision to leave and not run off but I’m not positive on that. Potential was there to see

I think it was a case of him or arop that off-season, with neither really getting a ton of minutes with shamiel and lat mayen coming in. Cross probably wanted minutes to develop and he found that.
