No matter where Sallis decides to go next, I do not believe Hoiberg wasted his time on pursuing Hunter.

 

If Nebraska ('we') decided to not go after high-level talent, then we would be definitely wasting our time!

i think fred will close the deal. they are both nebraska guys. fred has arguably more nba connections than mark few did. and he can fill the griesel spot right away.

No idea if we land Sallis but worth noting we've gone from not in his Top 10 out of HS to one of the lead contenders. Sort of reminds you that even when you don't sign guys the first time there is often a second or even third chance.

As to recruiting battles with Wake Forest, we lost that curly-haired kid, Carter Whitt, who got 12.4 minutes per game last season at Furman.

Wake Forest was one of the 12 teams we finished second to in Parker Friedrickson's various recruitments.

There have been some "insider" posts on the Husker Online and 24/7 boards. But not from anyone I know personally or trust. I feel (from lurking for quite a while) that the people who post inside info on this board (other than Robin Washut, who does a great job) seem to have more accurate information. So I usually take info on here a little more seriously than rando-posts on the other boards.
