Hot off the press.  Iowa, Ohio St and Wisconsin jump in while we remain at #26.  A couple wins this week and we will rightfully crack the poll next week.

I know polls this early in the season don't matter, so I'm sorry for this- but Wisconsin jumping us is a joke. Xavier lost like 90% of its scoring and their head coach - that win is no more impressive than our win over Seton Hall. Had to get that off my chest.

The only thing that I could maybe see is that it was on the road?

Possibly - my homerism aside, I think we're a much better team than Wisconsin this year. I'm just irritated.

I am right there with you.  Very much think we deserve to be in the Top 25 right now.

Wisconsin has had a run of something like 25 top 4 Big Ten finishes in a row, and just as many consecutive tourney appearances, plus a Final 4 just a couple of years ago.

Nebraska has never won a tournament game in its history.

There's probably a little bit of bias in that ranking.  We need to earn our spot in the top-25.

Completely agree but fortunately, the Coaches poll, which is the  smarter and more accurate of the two polls (definitely bias here) has us up a spot to #24!

Haha...do you think?  Yes, there is no doubt there is that bias among the writers.  Not yanking on you 49r, but there is no question that bias exists.  We need to win and keep winning and start altering that bias on our own.

I just love the fact that B10 is showing well in the non-conference.  That is what absolutely killed the perception of the B10 last year which then left us on the outside looking in with a 4th place finish in the B10.

I cheer for every single B10 team in the Non-Conf...the better the conference is, the more room for "error" come conference season.  Better chance at quality wins, and less "bad losses."

I for one am just happy the B10 is showing so well in the Non-Conference.  A lot of B10 teams in tourneys this week and then the B10/ACC next week will be another great test for the B10.

...sorry, can't ever see myself cheering for Iowa.  Lived in that state for a time, and grew to despise them even more.

Did you hear why the Iowa teams do not have a website.  They cannot put three W's together

Did you hear that they lined their courts and fields with cardboard...They are only good on paper.

Did you hear...never mind, you get the picture.

And here Xavier is taking Auburn to OT in Maui.  My goodness the Big 10 just keeps looking better and better.

Auburn got up 11 early in the 2nd and I chalked it up as over. This is a fun time of the year to watch basketball - love me some good midday basketball.

Most definitely!  Auburn got lucky I think.  Should have been down 1 after the no-call goal tending.

I said before the season that the pre-season rankings that had us in the top 25 were a little premature and we needed to play some games and earn it before I would say we deserved to be there.  Well, we deserve to be there.

This is not 2014-15.  This team is picking up where it left off last season.  Nice thing about that is we were able to avoid a stub-our-toe game by beating Clemson rather than getting blown out at St. John's a year ago.  In other words, it hasn't take as long to hit stride this season and that's yielding dividends that will help us out on Selection Sunday.
