As another data point, Fan Duel has the odds of Nebraska making the tournament at -490. Meaning, you have to wager $490 to win a measly $100. This is an implied probability of 83% of Nebraska making the tournament according to one book in Vegas. Conversely, if you would like an emotional hedge, you can also wager on Nebraska not making the NCAA tournament at +325 odds. We're in good shape. Beat Michigan on Monday and this becomes close to a moot point. Lose to Michigan and then beat the teams you should. I think most of us would have signed up for this scenario at the beginning of the year!7 points -

Senior stats, per On3: 26 pts, 8.8 reb, 4.3 ast. His team is 22-2. Not sure how good the competition is, but there are a few other division 1 players on his team and it's a prep school out of Phoenix, so I assume they play somewhat of a national schedule. He's listed at 6'7" 205 on their roster. Wiry and athletic. With Rhymes and Frager on the wing, there will be no lack of positional size and athleticism there. They can both shoot it, too. Only question is how soon they'll be ready to contribute. Rhymes will be a 20 year old freshman.4 points -

I think this is all of our HS recruits since 2019. I believe we haven't had a single HS scholarship recruit spend more than 2 years here. If Janowski and Frager were to complete the 2025-26 season and not transfer, it would be unprecedented. And I do have high hopes for Frager, Janowski and Rhymes. But if you are the staff looking at the success of last year, the success of this year (so far), and the list below (sans McGowens), you probably figure you're better off recruiting the transfer portal than swinging and missing at HS guys. I do think with Frager and Janowski and hopefully Rhymes they are really emphasizing "fit" and "quality over quantity" now. Maybe I'm naive, but I can easily see Frager and Janowski playing key reserve roles next year and coming back for a 3rd year in the program. Nick Janowski - TBD Braden Frager - TBD Eli Rice - transfer after 1 year Matar Diop - transfer after 1 year Ramel Lloyd - transfer after 2 years, never played Jamarques Lawrence - transfer after 2 years, decent rotation player Denim Dawson - transfer after 2 years, barely played Bryce McGowens - NBA after 1 year, impact player Wilhelm Breidenbach - transfer after 2 years, below average rotation player Oleg Kojenets - transfer after 2 years, barely played Quaran McPherson - transfer after 2 years, never played Elijah Wood - transfer after 1 year, barely played Eduardo Andre - transfer after 2 years, below average rotation player Samari Curtis - transfer after less than 1 year, barely played Akol Arop - transfer after 2 years, barely played Kevin Cross - transfer after 1 year, decent rotation player Yvan Ouedraogo - transfer after 2 years, below average rotation player2 points -

Take care of business coming up vs Minnesota and Iowa and they should be fine. Minnesota is sneaky good too. Shockingly have 6 big ten wins. Ben Johnson is doing such a good fucking job given his departures this off-season. And being without one of his big portal acquisitions in Tyler Cochran2 points -

If anything, most Husker fans are way too negative about our chances overreacting to last night. I saw this on twitter: The first six teams out of the projected bracket via BracketMatrix are a combined 7-52 in Quadrant 1 games...we have 6 Quad 1 wins by ourselves. The bubble is pathetically bad this year. 3+ regular-season wins: you can throw a Selection Show party because we're just waiting to see who we play and where we go 2 regular-season wins: enough that you can feel pretty good, but have something ready to throw at your TV if we get left out because we probably got screwed 0-1 regular-season win: we've put ourselves in an awful situation and deserve whatever fate we get2 points -

2025 B1G Tourney Projection
cornfed24-7 reacted to throwback for a topic
Playing with the bracket projector a little bit - we're probably going to have to go at least 3-1 down the stretch to have a shot to get into the top 9 and get that first-day bye. And we probably have to win at Ohio State or hope they get swept on their LA roadie - we lose most of the tie-breakers to them if we lose the rematch and we're both at 10-10. However, if we beat OSU but only go 1-2 in the other 3 games, we could still get to #9 at 9-11 because then we win the tie-breakers against Ohio St. For our hopes of getting a day 1 bye, that OSU game looks like the big one. If we go 4-0, good chance at #7 seed - could get to #6 with a miracle or two. If we go 2-2 with wins vs Iowegia and Minny - likely would be the #10 seed If worst case scenario happens, we could still miss the tourney. https://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb1 point -

There are way too many good bracketologists (without Nebraska bias) out there now to not have a pretty darn good idea of where we stand, and I'm not talking about Lunardi or Palm. For example, the cumulative Bracketmatrix nailed all the 1-4 seeds in the committee top 16 reveal. Some guys put as much work into it each week as they do at their jobs (T3 and JBR on Twitter for example). We ended up last year right about where most of the really good ones thought we would. In my opinion, it has never been easier to know relatively where you stand.1 point -

If you're referring to 2018, we only had one quality win that year. Only beat one tourney team (Michigan) and 10 of our 13 conference wins were against below .500 teams. I remember not being on the edge of my seat at all on selection sunday. Think we had a better argument in '99.1 point -

Yes Hake has taken a step up in her play this year. What we need going forward is for her and Nissley to both bring it every game. Both have had games where they have been a non factor. Also we have enough guards even if Allison calls it a career. Will need to hit the portal for our 4-5s. We have good pieces coming back. Need to finish strong with 2 more wins before going into the B1G tourney.1 point -

It's the 5 for 15 on FTs that infuriate me about Ulis. How the heck is a dude who's been in college as long as he has be so bad at a fundamental like that. His shot is horrendous. So frustrating to see him shoot the ball, but I'd probably also say that about Rollie's 3-pt. shot as well. So ridiculous, tbh.1 point -

Alexis knows her time at PBA is drawing nigh. She balled out in the big, big way. Likely her best game of her career when NU had to have it. Six threes, even. And no turnovers. Only 2 fouls, one of which was a bit questionable near the end of OT. Anyway, props to Markowski for taking this team on her back, along with Callin, late.1 point -
