A presale is on for tickets to the NU-KU game on April 27 at Kauffman Stadium. 6:00 p.m. first pitch. This should be a good opportunity to watch a game at the K and get way better seats than for a Royals game. Got my two last week in the Diamond Club behind home plate for only $15 per ticket. Similarly, the presale for Big 10 Tournament tickets at TD Ameritrade Park started 10 days ago. Not sure when tickets are available to the public; great tickets will be available. Block off those days early and enjoy some baseball in Omaha.2 points -

A couple of others that weren't mentioned in the top 12 and maybe should be are Chuck Jura, Marvin Stewart and Leroy Chalk. Chuck and Marvin are 15th and 21st respectively in career scoring, but would rank higher on a PPG basis. Leroy still holds the record for career RPG for conference games only at 10.5. These 3 played together for 2 years and would surely have been in the NCAA those 2 years if the numbers taken today were taken in 1970 and 1971.2 points -
Yeah, they need some 'Polish' (HB's son did a lot better in announcing their games )1 point

just a great article! amazing service the Blackburn's have done. also amazing how things sometime just seem to fall in place. huh, surgery for burns after the season? hopefully just something that needs "cleaning up".1 point -
The missed two point/three point calls were obvious on tv. Is the review at time out requested by a coach or must the refs decide to do it themselves? Couldn't the crowd start a chant on a call that is obviously missed that affects the home team? I would guess the referees have forgotten it by the next time out if no one mentions it to them.1 point

She'd better hope she has a coach to whom she can commit. Bollant isn't going to keep the job in perpetuity with losing Big Ten records.1 point -

On to Purdue and let's win that one. While Michigan State was a great win, it's just one game. And while this sucks, it's just one game. Weird how teams can have other teams' numbers, i.e. we apparently have Michigan State's number, and Michigan has ours. Beilein is a helluva coach, and that offense of theirs today was a well oiled machine. I remember they burned us two years ago with those back door cuts as well. It's a tough challenge for such a young team. Also, I'm starting to wonder if it isn't more important that we get another good shooter than a center.1 point -

In conference games at the Pinnacle Bank Arena, Nebraska is shooting 35 percent from 3-point territory (30 of 86), while the visiting teams are shooting 42 percent (33 of 79). If you take out Minnesota's miserable effort, NU's opponents are shooting 48 percent. In conference games on the road, Nebraska is shooting 37 percent from 3-point range (24 of 65), while the home teams are shooting 35 percent (31 of 89). Of course, Nebraska's home opponents have generally been better than our road opponents, but it's interesting that opposing teams feel so comfortable hoisting 3's in an unfamiliar gym, while the Huskers' shooting percentage is slightly better in unfamiliar gyms. It also appears that Huskers "love the rim" on the road more than they do at home. Could be a statistical anomaly that will even itself out over the final 10 conference games.1 point -

For as bad as we played on D today (back door cuts, the pick and roll, 3 point D), we had a chance to win this game. The missed free throws down the stretch were our end. I hope we figure out how to win at home at some point. Home court advantage is zero right now.1 point -
I thought the coaching was alright. We went to the press and seemed to confuse them. Allowed us to get back into the game. Missed some big free throws, and only got to the line 9 times. Add to that going 6 for 22 from 3, pretty much did us in. Miles said it best before the game. They can shoot the 3 and they will backdoor you. You can't take both away. In the 2nd half we didn't take either away. That was the real difference in the game.1 point

Michigan played well. Man, can they shoot the ball. I have been going games for a lonngggg time. Been yelling (not negative, not at all dirty) for a long time. For the first time EVER, I got told to shushhhh. I thought people in my section was going to laugh the late 20's early 30' dude out of the arena. Literally, we had just been called for yet another foul and I yelled "Ref, have you checked out the foul disparity" and the guy turned around and said shusshhhh. I have a 7 year old here????? I believe the guys name must have been Gene. What the heck. Michigan looked experienced. They took control and mostly kept control. They moved the ball. They changed up their defenses to confuse us. They made their free throws. They beat us. And it is amazing how tight they can play defense without fouling.1 point -
I'd rather beat Maryland anyway. Right?1 point
