It wouldn't shock me at all if he and Rosenthal poke their nose in on occasion.  It'd be a pretty simple way to get the pulse of a fairly significant portion of the fanbase.

And by significant you mean the portion of the fanbase that is knowledgeable and super awesome right? B)

Hey ____,

Thanks for the catch.  It appears to be a glitch in my system, I'll have to look into it.  In the meantime I've
removed the offer.

Thanks Again!

I would almost guarantee Robin Washut wouldve been all over that offer.  They confirmed during the Oak Hill weekend he ONLY held a Utah State offer at that time.

And Washut has indeed confirmed that such an offer has not been made.  Thurman really doesn't seem to fit NU's needs at this time, so an offer at this time would be kind of odd.

Other than Verbal Commits, I have not seen any indication that Creighton has offered, either.  Not sure where the site got its info.

I wouldn't say that he doesn't fit.  This to me looks like they might be waiting to see how his grades are.  Because he has the talent to garner some offers from Power 6 schools.  A lot of these Central guys minus Akoy and TreDon have issues in the classroom.

If the grade issues I have heard about are true, not saying they are, that might be harder on recruiting.

I think this is a fair point.  Schools are not going to invest a lot of resources in checking you out if it seems unlikely you will be able to get qualified or are not currently qualified.

Get eligible first.  Then worry about trying to get attention from colleges.

According to Eric Berehns, Thurman is being recruited by lower level Div I schools and hasn't been contacted by Nebraska.

I've heard the Omaha Mavs are looking at either him or Khyri Thomas for a possible schollie, if available... would be great for Coach Hanson to continue to develop inroads to local talent when it fits for both parties.

Both guys basketball wise, could play for the Mavs. I think both guys could in time, play for Miles. We will see where they end up.

Them brothers both going juco. Aint D1 eligible right now. Keep an eye on 'em doe as we could be looking at dem again in 2 yrs as long as Miles aint been turned off on Omaha kids after dis yr.

Congratulations to UNO for having the foresight to offer and land this kid.

Treshawn Thurman.  True freshman at UNO.  6'7", 220#.  Rivals ranking:  not ranked.  No stars.

Season averages:  20.7 minutes, 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 54.5% from the floor, 40% from beyond the arc.

Leon Gilmore.  True freshman at Creighton.  6'7", 210#.  Rivals ranking:  #134 in the top 150.

Season averages:  5 minutes, 0.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, 0.00% from the floor, 0.00% from beyond the arc.

I know it's kind of early and the sample size is small, but the early returns are looking good for UNO on this comparison.  Wonder if they'll ever get to play head-to-head?

It bears repeating (from myself :) ), surprising he didn't get better offers. Not surprised he's doing well at UNO.

If he had done better in school he would have gotten better offers.  He was an 11th hour qualifier and most schools were done recruiting at that point.

Still, it's shocking he didn't have more offers.  I recall posting sometime last year that whatever team we were playing that night could use him as he'd be as good as any of the players they already had.  I don't remember who we were playing, but it's probably somewhere upthread.  I am glad UNO got him.  I just remember thinking that a lot of teams were missing the boat by not offering him.
