Nebraska will play at Villanova next season as part of the Big East-Big Ten Challenge

This could be tough for us.  Not gonna kid ya.

 

They probably start:

 

C Ochefu  6'11" 250#, former Rivals 4-star who put up ~ 9.3 and 8.3 pts and rebounds/game this last year.

PG Arcidiacono  6'3" 195#, former Rivals 4-star who scored 10.7 ppg and 3.6 assists against 1.5 turnovers.

 

He'll be pushed by incoming frosh Jalen Brunson, 6'1", Rivals 5-star from Chicago.

 

And they have at least 4 other former Rivals 4-stars in the SG to PF range.

 

They won the Big East this past year.  They return a lot of their talent.  And we have to play them on their floor.

 

So that seems like a real fair fight.  Nice of them to try to balance the matchups.

 

A win would give us a huuuuuuge RPI boost, though.

I think it's extremely good news if we get Villanova.  What a better way to test yourself and there is more upside than there is downside.  Great draw for Nebraska!!!

We are 0-2 against the Wildcats. Hopefully this will change after we play them. And as a bland midwesterner, I would be dissapointed if the Phillie fans were not obnoxious. In the day when I used to work at Philmont for the boy scouts, the scouts from Philadelphia were inevitably the rudest groups to come through each summer. How's that for stirring the pot early?

I think secretly, Nova fans are upset about the match-up because they are scared of us. They would rather take a loss on their home court to the likes of Sparty or the Badgers. When they lose to us, its going to crush their RPI!
