No Ncaa no NIT NOTHING!....... Season Over unless something special happens in the BIG tourney (which wont happen at this point) We are just so bad on offense that there is no way we can make up for all the losses.... Plus the remaining schedule is so tough playing all Tourney teams and no easy games we may not win more than one more game this season. WTF happened to this team how did we get to this point honestly I have never seen a team take such a step backward so fast. Miles has got a lot work to do this off season to fix the problems. The one area that has plague this team since the exhibition games was rebounding about every team on the schedule out rebounded us especially on offensive rebounds. Miles went out and got 6'9 Moses to be the rebounder and turned out to be the biggest fumble hands I have ever seen and has been ZERO help a waste of a roster spot.

I hate to say this guys but Miles made a huge mistake in hiring Jim Molinari HUGE mistake yes our defense has been pretty good but our offense has been worse GOOD LORD all we lost was Gallegoes which he was streaking yes and threat maybe but he was not a steph curry type of shooter so WTF happened the offense? The answer is Molinari Miles sold his soul to the devil and gave up all the offense for defense which he keeps telling himself that's our identity which is fine but if you dont have defensive center to rebound and clog the middle than you cannot be a defensive team. I think Miles has realized he made a big mistake but now its too late.

I love Tim Miles I really do I think he is the man but I think mistakes in recruiting when he got here hurt him really bad and honestly maybe we were just lucky last year and it fizzled out playing Ohio St in BIG tourney.

Thank god we were able to cash in some dividends in recruiting from last year success run and hopefully the best of HUSKER BASKETBALL YEARS are on the way.

Sorry I needed to vent.

I like the guys we have coming in...and we should he improved because we are pretty bad this year. But the question will be how much improvement will we make? If we don't find a post presence or a PG doesn't step up then I'm not sure we will be a NCAA team. I have faith Smith will develop...but I don't expect Watson and Morrow to fill the roles right away.

There are a number of people on this board who know far more about basketball than I from an X&O's or pure assessment of talent perspective.  However, I do have an extremely strong grasp of organizational development, leadership, and other areas which translates alike between different areas of industry as well as sports.  That being said, I like this team and trust Miles.

It has been almost a few decades since Nebrasketball was anywhere near an offensive juggernaut.  One does not simply come in, waive pixy dust over the players and suddenly have an offensive system.  I remember announcers comparing Doc's offensive players making their way back and forth around the three point akin to wipers on a windshield.  That was painful to watch.  Miles' offense has been good enough to win but never dominant.

Miles' offense is a blend of perimeter shooters and guys driving to the hoop.  Last season, Rey was a legitimate commodity.  On any given game he had the propensity to lite it up from beyond the 3pt line.  While as a senior Rey did not really have an in conference blow up game, Rey's junior year was another story.  Rey was a weapon simply being on the floor.  Walter also gave teams fits with his perimeter scoring as well.  As a result, driving lanes were opened up for Terran and Shavon.

This season, Rey graduated, Walter tried more of a post game, Hawkins (who was supposed to add that shooting element) transferred, and Fuller has not fully physically developed.  Despite improvement, Tai should not be viewed as a sniper like Rey.  Tarin is only a freshman.  So that leaves us with  . . . whom?  Further, despite attempts to develop Walter, Nebraska does not really have a post up game.  That leaves Nebraska with a one dimensional offense.  Teams can crowd up the middle and try to prevent fast break points.

To blame Mollinari is too simplistic.  The guy came in as a defensive specialist.  Last I checked, Nebraska is playing good, maybe even great at times, defense.  I would look further down the bench if you want to address the offense.

If Morrow Jr. doesn't contribute right away, I'd be very surprised by that development. Rebounding & interior D are in MAJOR need of upgrade & Ed would provide those skills & a tough mind-set immediately.

The offense would have been okay yesterday, far from great but okay had we just freaking boxed out on the defensive end.  We gave up 23 second chance points.  We just aren't good enough offensively to give up that many extra chances.  My only concern going forward is the lack of a big coming in.

As you might be able to tell, I'm hoping that Ed Morrow Jr. plays 'big'!

For what it's worth. I was talking with a Creighton coach the other day and he said Morrow will be a carbon copy of David Rivers.  Now, this could be a Creighton coach talking just to talk, but I thought it was interesting.  And this coach is a nice guy/individual, so I do not believe he was talking trash on some of our recruits.

Rivers isn't a bad player, but I'm hoping Morrow is better than him.

Should have stayed that better. I do expect Morrow to contribute. But, I'm not expecting him to be the difference maker we need in his first year. I'm hoping Miles can find a transfer or a Juco big. Heck...I'm hoping he finds two.

Who'd have to go to allow 1-2 JUCO bigs?  Right now there are no available spots. There may likely be at least 1 open up, I'd imagine. But 2?

Seems like he might be selling Ed short a bit. David is a good guy, but he's not really B1G material, IMHO;  that opinion on physicality doesn't take away from Rivers' meaning to this team. It's more that Ed should fit in quite well in this conference compared to David.

Stuff happens. Bad hand was dealt to the team this year. There's a lot worse that can happen...um what's going on with Petteway's family comes to mind.

That being said...I hope that there's a couple more fans like you...so maybe my dad and I can make the move to the lower section next year.

Other than that I have not and will not give up on this team.

This is going to come off as crazy talk, but I honestly don't think our offense is that bad.  I think a LOT of it has to do with the fact that we simply can't shoot the ball.  Go back and watch the film and watch to see how many WIDE open shots we miss.  Guys are going to have to make some shots.  Period.

Hopefully White is as good as a shooter as they say and hopefully Watson is as good as they are making him out to be.  Then we just have to hope Morrow can be that banger down low that can get us some points.  I never wanna put too much stock into freshman as its just a different level in College, but hopefully he is a guy that can do some dirty work and get us some rebounds and junk points.

Other than a completely different skill set, personality, and eventual 30 lbs difference, gotta say he nailed it.

I hope he was serious.
