I don't know, it feels like to me that he's holding out for another offer - maybe a school closer to home, like Maryland or VCU.  If he really wanted to come here, he would have pulled the trigger by now.  I just don't see why you'd drag this out until August unless you were waiting on another school to offer.

 

Put yourself in his shoes for a moment.  Other than us fans want to know now, why does he need to be in a hurry?  Just because he is taking his time doesn't mean he is holding out for other offers.  Maybe he just wants to make sure he is making the right decision.  He may already know he wants to come to NU (or another school) but can't blame him for continuing to look at other schools if he wants to ensure he picks the best school for him.  Lots of kids don't do that and thus why there are so many transfers every year.

 

We are to the point where we should only want players that want to be here!

If AW3 is convinced he should go somewhere else...he should.

HERE...we have a culture growing! We want the players that want to be here while improving exponential rather than linearly...

and so do other great programs. Most players will go elsewhere...and that is true for all great programs.

 

If I could imagine me to be a lucky guy at a free wine tasting where 35 foxy women are drinking....and I am one of only a very small # of attractive guys... I would take my time...enjoy the process...while working behind the scenes to make my situation the BEST!

I respect the hell out of this kid's approach, but at some point...all the signs should be pointing towards NU.  We were the first to jump on him, have stuck with him the entire time, and have effectively sold ourselves to him.  We are the only constant in his list of interested schools, unless you want to include Richmond I guess.

True....unless he wants to be closer to home.  I have no doubt we are his best option basketball wise.  But, I'm worried him being close to his family will seal the deal for most likely...Richmond.

The way it's shaping up, it would be hard to believe that he will end up at Nebraska. With Maryland and Richmond among the final 3, it would appear that being closer to home is most important to him. Can't blame him there.

I get the feeling that he's been holding out for a Maryland offer/visit this entire time, and that's why he hasn't decided yet.  He said after his Notre Dame visit that he hoped to visit Maryland, but I don't think the Terps have officially offered him yet.  If they don't, I think he comes here.

How safe is Turgeon's job? He may not be there in another year.  If I remember right Richmond has a full roster going into next year. They would most likely have to take a scholarship away from someone should he pick them. I think we got a hand up on the competition if it comes down to between us and those other two.

Somebody on twitter ask Mike Schaffer his thoughts on White...he said from everything he has heard, he thinks NU has a great shot.  So lets hope he is hearing the right things.

Could this have been the holdup? White might've been told that they had an incoming freshman who was iffy on making it. They had to wait and see, now they know, and have room to bring White on board. Closing in on the start of school for him to have not pulled the trigger by now. I know weve heard all about him really taking his time and wanting to be sure to get this right, but this could be the reason for all that.
