REDZONEDAN Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 I actually saw him and a woman (presumably his wife) walking with Coach Hunter outside the stadium before the game today. My assumption was that they were Ed Morrow's parents. Quote
BigP50 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 I was talking to Brian Rosenthal on Saturday while shadowing Brian Christopherson, from the Lincoln Journal Star, at the Spring Game, and he thinks that the Huskers will land Ayegba Abraham, the transfer from Georgetown. Kenya Hunter most likely a major player in this. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 I think they have to send some money first to one of the princes over there in order to get a huge sum of money for the bag men to sign him. AuroranHusker, Norm Peterson, 49r and 2 others 5 Quote

Because that would be kinda cool. Or did we just get all the bible names mixed up? Quote

Section_316 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 We need more than Ayegba… another shooter or wing defender for 2014 is a must in my opinion… Quote
nustudent Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 AFAIC-this is a great pick-up. Big, looks the part, gives us help in the paint we don't have and certainly don't have if we leave it open. And if it doesn't pan out, no biggie, he's gone after this year anyways, This would be different if he had 2-3 years of eligibility left. throwback 1 Quote

It would be nice to have someone that had more production last season, but I don't think Hammond would give us more off the bench than Ayegba next season- Ayegba at least has 2 years of experience playing in a power conference. At the end of the day, this basically just allows us to redshirt Hammond for sure and adds some depth- not sure how much but it can't hurt. Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Ayegba, with that frame and experience (2 years in the actual Big East), will still be better than 90% of any freshman bigs out there. Combined, I think he and Hammond will be formidable. Great pickup. Again, don't forget about the change of scenery. Having a clean slate is great for many players. There will be a lot of positive energy surrounding him. Fantastic. Quote
atskooc Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Yeah, I'm thinking this is pretty cool. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 So no commitment before he left town but will head back to DC and think everything over with his family. I still see him being N though. Quote
