Be interesting to see what happens when new ratngs come out. Lotta talk about a bunch Omaha kids now. Arop and Malik from Bell West gettin some hype. Arop had another Aau teammate getting some run too. Potter from North gonna be in Rivals 150/ Scout 100. It sound like maybe Omaha gettin another golden age.

Check this tweet from about an hour ago from NebraskaHSHoops:

@NebraskaHSHoops: Creighton has inquired about 2017 Omaha South F Aguek Arop (Omaha Elite 15u) & 2017 Edmond North, Ok G Marques Wilson (Omaha Elite 15u)

Anybody know why a cat from Oklahoma playing for a Omaha AAU team?
Most major AAU teams have players from multiple states on their team.

It pretty rare for a Nebraska aau team to have Oklahoma kids on da team. In fact, in recent years it wasnt uncommon for the best Nebraska kids to play for teams outside a da state like Iowa.

That's exactly my point. I said major AAU programs do it. I don't consider Nebraska AAU major when you look at the teams in the EYBL. Those teams are stockpiled with talent.

Patton is a project, but so are many of the guys we've offered recently.....Puryear, Roby, Shamet, Jacobson.  Patton probably has more potential and upside than any of those guys.

Just saying, I remember watching Eliason in high school and thinking he was a valley school level talent.  If Patton can put on some muscle he could be a pretty good player.

Because I don't think has power conference ability. He is a valley school level talent, time will tell.

Creighton fans disagree with you:  http://bluejayunderground.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3262&sid=f906844ed388417173a20cf82287e178&start=50

...and, they'll be happy to remind you they play in a power conference now...of course, that last point could be debated, but it's looking like we're fixing to find out what the kid's got in him.

In reality, they play in a league that adopted the name of what used to be a power conference for basketball.

Too bad we never got in on him.  Good get by Creighton.

I saw one of his games online from last year.  He didn't look like a D1 player.  From all accounts his game did a 180 this spring and Creighton was at the right time right place for the team camp and saw him coming into his own and seized the moment.  Congrats to them but sometimes thats the way it plays out.

How is there a top 50 big in Omaha, and we didn't offer? Heck how does a top 50 big only have 1 offer total? I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the rating but that means dozens of schools made had a huge whiff.

It's definitely strange. It happens, though. Anthony Davis went from a nobody to the No. 1 recruit in the country in the blink of an eye.
