Be interesting to see what happens when new ratngs come out. Lotta talk about a bunch Omaha kids now. Arop and Malik from Bell West gettin some hype. Arop had another Aau teammate getting some run too. Potter from North gonna be in Rivals 150/ Scout 100. It sound like maybe Omaha gettin another golden age.

Most major AAU teams have players from multiple states on their team.

It pretty rare for a Nebraska aau team to have Oklahoma kids on da team. In fact, in recent years it wasnt uncommon for the best Nebraska kids to play for teams outside a da state like Iowa.

That's exactly my point. I said major AAU programs do it. I don't consider Nebraska AAU major when you look at the teams in the EYBL. Those teams are stockpiled with talent.

The U15 team is very talented, multiple D1 players. Patton just showed up on 24/7's top 150 for 2015. Going to be sweet if there's actually more talent in this area.

I heard that Patton impressed in Vegas AAU tournament and will most likely be ranked in top 100/150 rankings when they come out next. Great sign for local area hoops

Because I don't think has power conference ability. He is a valley school level talent, time will tell.

Patton is a project, but so are many of the guys we've offered recently.....Puryear, Roby, Shamet, Jacobson.  Patton probably has more potential and upside than any of those guys.

 

Just saying, I remember watching Eliason in high school and thinking he was a valley school level talent.  If Patton can put on some muscle he could be a pretty good player.

...and, they'll be happy to remind you they play in a power conference now...of course, that last point could be debated, but it's looking like we're fixing to find out what the kid's got in him.

Looks to be a strong class. The Bison Gold (15 yr olds) also made a strong showing winning the Minneapolis tournament and made the final 4 of the Vegas Finals tournament.

Justin Patton showed up at 40 nationally on Scout. Seems kinda high.

Rivals just did their update and moved him all the way to 47.  Would probably be one of the biggest jumps in HS hoops this recruiting cycle.

Rumor is he may not make grades.  But, worst case they will still have an in on him if they have to place him somewhere.

Patton is a very nice player.  Creighton landed a good one there.  I wish Nebraska could have gotten in on him.  He is a hard worker, great teammate, and possesses skills that lead me to believe he can be a solid D1 player.  In many ways, I like him more than Akoy Agau.  Time will tell.

I saw one of his games online from last year.  He didn't look like a D1 player.  From all accounts his game did a 180 this spring and Creighton was at the right time right place for the team camp and saw him coming into his own and seized the moment.  Congrats to them but sometimes thats the way it plays out.

It's definitely strange. It happens, though. Anthony Davis went from a nobody to the No. 1 recruit in the country in the blink of an eye.
