just hopped on the CBS board. not a lot of comments but the one there about his playing skills was interesting. Would we want him??? http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24382109/louisville-big-akoy-agau-suspended-indefinitely

Friends don't let friends read the CBS board comment section.  There has to be several Louisville boards...try hitting those.

From the above linked board

Jeff Greer of the C-J tweeted that he just got off of the phone with CRP and Agau's suspension is for a "very minor" attitude issue. "Could be two days, could be two weeks".

Coach Miles:  Hello, Coach Miles here...

Akoy:  Ummm, coach, Akoy here, umm, remember me?

Coach Miles:  Sure I do son, how you doing down in the fine State of Kentucky?

Akoy: Umm, ahhh, ummm, well, not so well.  Do you remember that scholie you offered me?

Coach Miles:  I sure do, we were really counting on you...you, umm, kind of let us down and kind of dissed us didn't you?

Akoy:  Umm, ahh, wellll...

Coach Miles:  Hello, hello?  We must have gotten disconnected.  See ya.

He would be a contributor for us, but he would not be the savior he was billed to be in high school. I think Miles would take him of he wanted to come here, but I don't think he'd blink twice if he didn't want to come here. BTW obviously I am assuming he will leave Louisville at some point. He isn't good enough, he isn't playing and they will just bring in better players next year.

i'd bring agau in and redshirt him and let him replace Leslee after next year.

There would be no choice.  He would have to redshirt if he transferred directly here.

If he transferred at semester couldn't he play 2nd semester of next season?

No, CWG, I'm pretty sure it would go down like this....

TM:  "Sure, Akoy, we'd love to have you back here!  Tell you what - you work out the details with your coaching staff, and I'll contact our compliance department.  I heard they did wonders for us a few years ago getting a guy named Sallie on board".

He's big and athletic enough to be a difference maker and he's definitely someone we want.

Look no further than the freshmen stats of Pitchford and Petteway to show you what a year in the weight room and time to get acquainted in college will do for you.

He could definitely do that.  Even after this I"d be completely shocked if he transferred at mid season and still be surprised if he ever transferred.

Sorry, I am still a tad bitter that he bypassed UNL for greener pastures.  Sure, I will get behind him if he comes, but I am bitter nonetheless.

"But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found."

What was Lazarus' vertical? So to speak.

Guys - I am not going to apologize for my feelings.  We each have our bugaboo's.  Heck, I said the same thing when Scott Frost left our fine State for Stanford and then decided to come back.  After my initial reaction of ugly angst, I soon jumped on board and became a big fan of him.  If (and I will not hold my breath) Akoy decides to transfer here, I will be a fan.

Not surprised he got suspended for attitude issues, The players at Central are allowed to do anything they want.

I do hope he comes to Nebraska if he transfers, but he'll be nothing but a role player. However I have a sneaking suspicion that if he transfers he'll end up at UNO.

I bet all the UNO basketball message boards are lighting up with that speculation.  Oh, wait ...

Couple things. Teams need role players.  But why are we assuming he can't be more than that?

Just from what I've seen out of him. He looks like a 6'9 PF who will be a good defender but most of his offense will be from cleaning up on boards.
