a0t0w0 Posted September 18, 2014 Report Posted September 18, 2014 I get that people are going to joke around....but the problem is, there may be 1-2 post in the thread that stay on topic that some of us may miss as we have to read through 2-3 pages of "inside jokes". I love the fun spirit of the board, but when you get excited to read what you are hoping is some "news" about the topic, only to find pictures and music videos, or guys chit chatting back and forth about nothing to do with the topic at all....Maybe I'm in the minority here, just my $0.02. Sometimes I feel like its 2-3 best friends chatting away about their lives and their jokes on a Husker basketball board. I like what Ed has to offer. Highlight film is always hard to interpret, but it's hard to ignore his talent. My question is, where does he fit? Can he play the 4 in college? If he's stuck at the 3 does he get lost in the deck for a year (which could be hard for a top 100 kid to swallow going to a school like Nebraska)? Can we fit him into the 4 without ruining his full potential as a player? Will we spend 10+ mins a game with him at the 5 (see Sadler, Doc). Anyway, back to the point of the quoted post. If I lead anything off topic I'm sorry. It's because I'm drinking whiskey. To be honest, my posts sans whiskey are non-existent. I wouldn't get too upset with people being sarcastic/shootingforlulz/pal-ing around on a message board. It's what kept me reading this site for years. Man, I wish Walt Pitchford had some of those post moves. We would be really really good if Walt could score inside like what Ed Morrow is doing in that film. Which isn't to say that Morrow will be able to do that against college competition, BUT ... Walt is 3 inches taller and has better than a 40 inch vertical leap. That would have made him the 4th leading scorer behind our big 3 last year. I don't see him starting as a freshman. I'm thinking 4-5 with some good defense will be more than we should expect as fans.
