I found this to be an interesting article.  It's good to see that colleges are not going to tolerate/be associated with manufacturers that are not paying their workers.  This manufacturer just so happens to be Adidas.  Now, I know NIKE has had their fair share of these instances as well, but I found this interesting because Nebraska is an Adidas school.  This article talks a lot about Michigan and Wisconsin.

So Michigan's contract is $60 million, does anyone remember what Nebraska's contract was worth?

EDIT: $15.53 Million/5 years

Michigan's contract w/ adidas began in '08, and it's for 8 years at $7.5M per. Certainly dwarfs Nebraska's deal, but the Wolverines had to be swayed to break away from Nike (and, thus, enhancing their bigger national brand/ego).

I realize I'm the crotchety antique stuck in 1965, but am I the only one on this board who doesn't give a rat's rear end what frickin' shoes the Huskers wear?

Just wondering.....   :)

That's about where I'm at myself.  For me, it doesn't matter.  If (IF) wearing Nike gear gets us better players, then fine.  Otherwise, so long as the uniform doesn't look stupid, I don't care.

IF we leave adidas then please avoid Nike...I'd even go Under Armour over Nike.

I really hope you are joking.  Yes, Under Armour makes adequate clothing.  However, have you ever wore a pair of their basektball, baseball, or football shoes?  They are complete crap.  They fall apart and are not comfortable at all.  UA basketball shoes are like wearing card board boxes on your feet.

Probably because they're made by little Indonesian kids forced to work 16-hour days in grimy sweatshops while chained to their looms and fed nothing but rice, tofu and water.
