Sign me up for Jacobsen being in the rotation next year.  For whatever some of you think he lacks in athletic ability he seems to more than make up for with basketball IQ by moving the ball and being in the right spot in the defensive rotation.

He doesn’t seem to over dribble in the offense and seems to catch his teammates sooner on the cuts.  The ball has been moving more crisper in the tournament than the last several games prior.

I know everyone wants an elite point guard, but I sure hope they don't go add another Rollie Worster type who can't shoot or defend. Cale Jacobsen's impact this week has been more impressive than anything Worster did all year. The combination of him/Sam/Ulis bringing the ball up looked no worse (and often times better) than Rollie. Cale actually pushes the pace way more than Sam/Rollie do. A lot of our open 3s that we've been hitting this week are simply a result of Cale pushing the pace and beating the defense to their spots.

The pace within the halfcourt offense is better with Cale too. Often times when the ball comes to him, he doesn’t even really catch it. Just kind of touch passes it to a teammate and off we go. Little things like that are important. Jamarques Lawrence plays the same way.

Glad we closed that out.  I felt like we were the better team early but we were making bad plays.  We seem to get complacent once we are up double digits.  Offensive/defensive possessions can matter more in those situations.

All our seniors have given us great minutes in this tournament.  Really happy for those guys.  Let's get a championship!

Half-court defense was great today - Outside of the first few minutes, Boise really struggled unless they were able to score in transition. Amazing how difficult our defense is to prepare for when teams don't see it regularly / only have a day or two to prepare. B1G coaches can spend all summer dissecting it, tho.

When Jacobsen, Hoiberg, and Ulis each hit multiple 3s in the game and Essegian doesn't, you know we're living right.

Nice win.  You know, that is and should be the expectation.   Hence, the frustration with the streakiness of the season.

Agree... absolutely little to no excuse for the losses at home towards end of season (road maybe, but home...no).

After the Huskers win tomorrow, and they will, they can hang the Crown championship banner next to the 1967-68 Big 8 Holiday Tournament Champions, the 93-94 Big 8 postseason tourney champions and the 1996 NIT champions.

Is there enough room in PBA?

I have confidence that Troy Dannen will make the room.

We looked better because we made shots.  We are winning almost every game when Gary, Ulis, and Cale go 8 - 9 from 3.  It's a whole different story if they go 2 - 9 like a typical game.

Our defense was really good today.  That was probably where we were the better team.

Yep.  8-9 is an anomaly for any three players, but really that’s often the difference between winning and losing, and the difference between the success of last year’s team and not making the tournament this year. Shot making. Seemed like all of Connor’s misses were magnified because nobody else could make shots this year. Last year if one, two or three guys were off, another one, two or three guys would be on.

And Sam was 2-4 while Brice was 1-2. That's a lot of makes (12) in one game for the Big Red. If NU could have had a few more nights like that in the B1G, the final regular season record would have been good enough to be dancin'. Oh well, I'm glad the fellas are doing well in Vegas, making the most of the opportunity in front of them. That shows a lot of resilience by the team, and speaks well of their leadership.
