Feels like Villanova is waiting on Willard?

Think so. He'll go back to a conference he was super successful in. Big ten has been up and down on him lol. Going back to a conference he was in for a decade makes some sense

I watched Ben McCollam’s press conference.  Impressive. Iowa may have a good one but winning the press conference doesn’t necessarily mean winning on the court.  He will have a very good point guard.

The tempo of his Drake team was reminiscent of former Iowa coach Todd Lickliter. Who was fired after three seasons.

It’s getting to the point where we all might have to head to the casino. A team with a coach with one foot out the door playing against debatably the best team in the nation screams a blowout.

Some UMD fans calling for firing him before the S16 game lol. Would certainly spice things up a bit…

They should. Apparently he skipped the team dinner last night and is actively recruiting for Nova. I 100% would have an asst coach the game tonight and let Willard F off to Philly.

That's truly wild. Their AD also left, so that makes things a bit harder for them to hire a new HC.

Does Ali count as a branch of Tim Miles' coaching tree since he was here for two years? And, if I remember correctly, one of his children is a Lincolnite.

This is awesome. I know there’s the saying that, “nice guys finish last…” But it couldn’t be anymore wrong in this case. Coach Farokhmanesh is one of the best people out there. Just a nice human, but absolutely has that killer instinct. Hopefully people learn how to spell his name correctly.

Miles was the first to give him a coaching job and Miles was the one who hired Nico Medvid at Colorado St

Ben McCollum will adapt to whatever he feels he needs to do to win basketball games.

@Norm Peterson - You're smarter than me and better at these things - propose a friendly wager related to McCollum's Iowa success and I'm in.

yeah, Norm was all over Grant McCasland a few years ago, and that seemed to be dead on....

Congrats to the Farokhmanesh family. Ali looks like a coach on the way up, and a good guy from all reports of those who knew him in Lincoln. I will even forgive him for his (in)famous shot which beat KU while he was at UNI.
