Just FWIW, right now at most places like CBS and of course BTN…we are not a topic of discussion of bubble but NCAA seeding.  Yesterday they were pondering if we could elevate to a 7-seed down the stretch.

This is a wild position to be in.

Would be great to finish off Michigan on their senior night and be sitting at 22 wins before the conference tourney.  So great.

Winning for the 1st time at Crisler will be prime motivation as well. And it would also be great to ensure that Michigan is a single digit wins team, too, unless they can rattle off 2 wins in Minneapolis... which would be crazy talk.. lol

I don't care if it makes me a bad person, but I really, really, REALLY want Wake Forest to miss the cut and have to sit at home and watch us dancing. I know it's petty, but that's honestly how I feel.

Usually the whole “hope XYZ scores 30 and plays really well but his team loses” doesn’t work… but it’s worked for Wake this year.

Hasn't worked that way for C.U. and me for Baylor Scheierman, since he's the primary catalyst for their top-ten success... oh well, helps the NU metrics, right?

Probably more too since they beat us by *29.  Can’t for the life of me wonder why all of their fans keep saying 30.  Lol

Eli Rice scored 6 pts late to hold that one under 30 & to get NU to 60. Oh boy, that one was a rough one. Sheesh! But, hey, NU is still 18-1 at home. I'd trade one big-time loss to win ALL of the other home games, all-day every day.

Right there with ya. And I've been known to be petty. You don't have to apologize.

You’ll be pleased to know that Bleacher Report currently projects us as a 10-seed against Dayton in Indianapolis, while both St John’s and Wake Forest are on the outside looking in. 😁

The age old question... If we win Dayton, does it even count?

I don't care if it's against penguins at the South Pole. A win is a win is a win is a win.

Was just looking up Izzo's worst teams at MSU, I had forgotten they made the First Four in 2021 as a 15-12 team. That's wild. But that's not his worst team, it was his 1st at 16-16. And his 2nd was a 17-12 squad, both those 1st 2 teams went to the N.I.T. He's been in the Big Dance ever since 1998, well, other than no tourney in 2020. That's a crazy level of consistency. I'd contend that the committee threw him a bone in 2021, to be 'in' at 15-12, though, with a 9-11 B1G record--his only season with a losing Big Ten record, ever. Izzo had 5 other seasons with a .500 conference record. Sheesh, no wonder the committee gives Izzo the benefit of the doubt. If they finish poorly this season, they're 17-12 and 9-9, it will be very, very interesting to see where they're seeded and which location that is. Amazing to be a fan of MSU, no worries of being left out at 15 wins in 2021. Simply amazing.

Best resume average (KPI/SOR) to ever be left out: 36.0 Louisville 2021

We’re sitting at 28.5 right now.  So we’re in a very strong spot.

I was just going to ask where to find those #'s.  I knew the NET, but not the others.

I forgot they have the section.  That's where I go for the NET.

NET is our lowest ranking on all the Metrics and that is a 43... We beat Michigan and get a bye in the Big 10 Tournament we are safely in with at least a 10 seed IMO
