Mast lost that game single handily. Everyone else wasn’t perfect, but you can’t expect a clean game on the road. Shot the ball pretty well honestly. Didn’t have that many TOs. It was simply Mast not getting a rebound over and over and over.

Welp, no Gary, Mast was an albatross, and Rutgers having 4,789 offensive boards is a recipe for a loss.

Unflipping believable.  Just a complete choke job again with a double digit lead in a 2nd half.  Awful basketball over the final 10 minutes of regulation. No one stepped up.  Mast was atrocious.  Looks like he gassed himself out against Edey and hasn't recovered.

Lawrence 2-8, 0-5 3 ptrs and 2 turovers., 1 of those coming on 2 on 1. Wilcher 3 to's and bad heat check 3 early in shot clock. Not sure what was with final play in regulation?

Mast is good vs Edey because Edey is just as slow and in athletic as he is. But anyone with an ounce of athleticism, quickness or speed, he looks like a lost puppy

Aren't quads based on final season results and not when you played them? They'll be Q3 soon enough.

lawrence has been awful the entire season. needs to be benched...

a team that can only play at home generally isn't a tourney team. that applies to these huskers. those blowout losses weren't flukes.

While true-- they'll get a nice bump from this win and any win they can get the rest of they way.  They'll have to rack up quite a few losses to get towards Q3 territory on the road.

IDK how true this is though.  We beat KSU in Manhattan and have held leads against both Minny and Rutgers.  We just can't finish.  It's not like we "can't" play on the road... it's more that we can't finish on the road.

Oh don't get me wrong... Not being able to finish on the road is just as bad.  Losses are losses.  I just disagree that we can't play on the road.  We can... we just shell up and don't finish.

Agreed. Like I said in other thread Edey is only POY because he's 7'4". He should dominate. And that's why Purdue will exit NCAA tourney early. Someone will do those same things to him that Rutgers did to Mast and Mast did to Edey. I'm not saying Mast has no blame but he looks absolutely gassed. Taking heat check 3s and/or forcing things when not needed only wears on him more. He was completely out-athleted tonight. Can't remember who said it but you never are as good as you look on your best day and not as bad as you look on your worst. And alot of those rebounds aren't his blame but Juwan would've made a difference and a couple he had Cliff checked but someone elses man got rebound.
