Eating crow thread

Didn't go back and search it up but I posted back in "Possible replacements if Miles fired" thread that Hoiberg would not consider coaching at Nebraska per a relative of his. I'm here to take my punishment but will do so with a smile on my face knowing that he is now our coach.

I'm reminded of the Indianapolis-based writer for The Athletic who suggested that Nebraska should just stay in its lane and go after TJ Otzelberger. 

 

We signed TJ Otzelberger's mentor instead.

It was Dustin Dopirak. I asked him about Hoiberg in threaded comments under a story about the Purdue/Nebraska game in Lincoln, and he wrote that TJO would be more our speed.

Katz said after the Wisconsin loss that Nebraska should “understand” who they are. A Football school who should  be happy to “maybe” sneak in the Tournament once every 3-5 years. Speaking for all Husker fans I’ll be happy to tell Mr Katz that he can collectively “Kiss My A**”!

Its a message board, no one is perfect, emotions can run high (reason 1 I stay away from posting during a game ).  I had some choice words for Moos after his statement, or lack there of, after the BIG 10 tourney.  Moos has handled this situation very well, especially the end result.  I look forward to the press conference Tuesday.

While I never posted my thoughts on the Hoiberg rumors, I must admit that I’d roll my eyes whenever I saw someone mention the possibility of hiring him. I thought it was so far fetched and that it’d never actually happen. So happy to eat crow! Still can’t believe our new reality!

That’s where I was. I thought we could attract a good coach, but not a proven P5 coach that had interest from a blue blood.
