In their first game against LSU, our next opponent, the SLU whatever they are, had 2 players score in double figures.

Mo Greenwood, a 6'7" senior forward, scored 12 points in 25 minutes of play while shooting 5 of 8 from the floor including one 3-pointer and one freethrow.

The other double-figure scorer was freshman guard Parker Edwards.  Good ol' Parker.

Parker played all of 10 minutes.  But he made good use of his time on the floor.

He hit 6 out of 8 3-pointers and went 5 of 7 from the charity stripe and wound up with … 25 points (he hit a deuce as well.)  In 10 minutes.  Nearly 40% of his team's points.  In 10 minutes.

Far be it for me to tell Michael Lewis how to do his job.  But if #3 is on the floor, we probably should make sure someone has a hand in his face. Just sayin.

Last night in a win against William Carey University, he came off the bench and played 22 minutes and scored 11 points.  He was 4-7 from the floor and 3-5 from 3-point land.

Edwards: 9 of 13 from 3

Rest of the team: 6 for 32

Nah. We got Glynn (5-7) and Nana (5-11). Were good ??

I didn't say transfer him here.

After looking at the guy, he's a fantastic shooter.  Wasn't hitting last night, of course, but he can elevate on a dime and get shots off quickly.  And he's accurate.  So you have to stay in his face.

But he's slow.  And his ball skills are minus minus.  So, while he doesn't need much separation to get a shot off, he's not going to create much separation on his own, either.  And being slow also means he won't pass muster on the defensive side of the ball so would never see the floor here even if he could shoot lights out all the time.  There's a reason he's at the school he's at and didn't get recruited to a higher level situation.  There's a reason that, in spite of going off for 25 points against LSU, he still isn't starting for his current squad, and only got 14 minutes against us.

(By the way, Glynn is a senior and Nana a sophomore.  If Parker were to transfer, Glynn would be 2 years gone by the time Parker would be eligible to play, and Nana would be a senior.)
