Would we be interested in Paras? Freaky good athlete and year to mature might do his ego some good with him essentially being a celeb in his home country.

Can he stroke from downtown?

Shot 35% on ~4 attempts per game during his season at Cathedral.  Can't seem to find his stats from his year at prep school, but I don't think he was really praised for his jumper.  More for slashing and finishing at the rim like...

He is a very grounded young man with a lot of talent.  I am sure he is like Tai in that it takes time to master the American brand of basketball.  His dad is one of the best players to ever come out of the Philippines and the family now does a lot of acting.

That's incredibly common in the Philippines...for professional players from the PBA to go on to a career in acting.  Or politics.

Also just wanted to clarify that I wasn't implying that Kobe Paras needed to do any maturing or that he was a diva or anything. Just that I could see how being famous on social media and in your home country could get to your head a bit.

Never met the kid nor do I know anything about his personality.

Not sure if we're looking for more scoring punch but former Gopher (didn't actually play there) Zach Lofton is transferring.

Was Texas Southern's leading scorer. Lit it up at Illinois State in 2014.  In between redshirted at Minny and then got booted. Think it was academics but don't know for sure.

is he immediately eligible?

This is from the Omaha World Herald:

Former Omaha Central star Akoy Agau plans to transfer from Georgetown, he told The World-Herald on Tuesday.

Agau expects to graduate in May and would be immediately eligible at his new school. He will have at least one year of eligibility remaining.

Agau was a part of four consecutive state championship teams at Central. He's one of five players to receive All-Nebraska recognition from The World-Herald three times, earning those accolades in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Agau, a 6-foot-8 forward, was a national top-100 recruit coming out of high school and began his collegiate career at Louisville. He transferred to Georgetown in 2015 and played in 30 games for the Hoyas this past season. He averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 2016-17.
