  2. Wait wut? Aren't you a Lakers fan? Pretty sure it wasn't so much the NBA, as it was the LBA, this past season. "Lakes of Our Lives".

  4. Keep in mind Osborne was instrumental in getting Nebraska into the Big Ten. That move alone (in my mind) is enough to elevate him into 3rd place. At least for now.

  7. I can't wait until 66% of the fanbase complains about the announced musical act, and said act's genre of music. It's gonna be glorious!

  10. This is going to be a bit more big time than the events we've had in the past. ------------------ A new era for Nebraska basketball begins on Friday, Sept. 27, as the Huskers will usher in the Fred Hoiberg era at Pinnacle Bank Arena with Opening Night with Husker Hoops. The event, which is free to the public, will feature a musical act which will be announced at a later date. The night includes introductions of the 2019-20 Huskers, a live scrimmage on the brand new PBA court, remarks from Coach Hoiberg, fan contests, giveaways and more. “We wanted to kickoff basketball season with an event that allows our fans to have a good time and get an early preview of our team as we start practice,” Hoiberg said. “We hope this event is not only the start of a new tradition for our program, but also the start of festive weekend with the Husker football team hosting Ohio State the following day.” Pinnacle Bank Arena doors will open at 6 p.m. with the event beginning at 7 p.m. Fans can start registering for lower bowl tickets on Huskers.com/Tickets beginning on Monday, July 15, at 10 a.m. with a limit of four reserved tickets per person. Upper bowl seats will be opened as needed. A limited number of student seats will be held for RedZone season-ticket holders, and information on how to reserve tickets for the event will be communicated directly to student season ticket holders. Opening Night with Husker Hoops begins a busy weekend on the Nebraska campus, as the Husker football team hosts Ohio State the following day.

  11. Pacers are winners in this chain of events. Got Warren and 32 pick for cash draft day. Flipped 32 pick for three future seconds. Used two of them and future first to get Brogdon. Then signed talented Lamb to very reasonable deal. Brogdon Warren Lamb for Collison Young Bogey makes the much younger and much more flexible. Plus absolutely stole Bitadze at 18. He is lottery player.

  13. Oooooh... you broke the rules and bought some illicit, swap meet Herbie gear.

  14. I bought a similar looking (to Chester's prior post, that is) "Herbie Husker" shirt in Omaha - I am not sure if it's an adidas shirt, mind you. But I like it a lot.

  15. I'm just sayin... the sports media blare quite a bit of Lakers news into our faces. It's even worse now with the walking soap opera LBJ out there. How bad would it be if the Lakers " were actually GOOD"? I'm sure we'll find out next season (unlike the Knicks).

  16. Well, I can actually recall watching nearly ALL of the Lakers Championship teams, unlike Knicks fans who need a reminder RE: Bill Bradley & Willis Reed. Yes last season was another “Soap Opera” but we haven’t boarded up the Staples Center quite yet...

    2019 NBA Free Agency

Sounds as if they locked up Klay and landed D'Angelo Russell. They traded Andre Iguadala to Memphis.

  20. It's in the thousands, but yeah, to adidas it might as well be "dozens" since they don't care that old-school Nebraska basketball fanatics want 'that.'

  21. NBA free agency is wild, man. Also, poor Knicks fan. A month ago (before the lottery) they had some pretty big dreams (AD, Zion, KD, Kyrie, etc), then they try to go cheap on KD, and end up with Julius Randle. What a mess of a franchise. Traded away Melo and Alabaster Ewing, and have nothing to show for it. Someone should confiscate the team from Dolan.

  22. Khoock called it, Durant & Irving to the Nets. I’d head down to Goodwill this week if you wanna pick up some Golden St. swag, cheap...

  25. I just want to reiterate this again. Moos hasn't done anything that is rocket science; his coaching hires, funding decisions, and general approach to managing the athletic department is straight forward. You could've asked any Nebraska fan who to hire or where to put your money and the majority of those fans would have come up with the same exact scenarios. The only difference is that Moos has actually executed on what he set out to do and made it happen. And that's exactly the type of AD we've been needing for decades. You want the teams within the athletic department to rebuild and strive for bigger things? Put someone in charge who will do more than just talk about it; put someone there who will actually do something to do what they can to make that happen.

  26. Devaney hired Osborne, Francis Allen, Gary Pepin and most importantly Terry Petit. If the Bill Moos hires pan out that well then an argument for #1 could be made.

  33. It's tough to compare player vs player as the system they will be playing in will be polar opposites. Team chemistry is what it will probably come down to as far as team success goes. Early on last year it looked like we had it but of course we know how it played out. I would think this year's team will improve the more they play together, the problem is conference play will be much tougher than the non-con schedule.
