Your argument is for why you feel compelled to post a topic that has no section and thus doesn't belong on this board. Any post of this type is an indirect argument for an off topic section. I get this is a message board and that it's meant for discussion. The problem with topics like these which are obviously political (or those religion based) is that they will result in more topics, discussion, disagreement, and eventually arguments in topics that have zero bearing on Nebraska Basketball. Look at this thread: it's already accomplished all three. This is not a goal of this board. If people are going to post Off topic subjects, expect them to be subject to heavy moderation. The HHC admin typically talk about the overall direction of the board in detail during the off-season at some point. Among that will be how to clarify the rules and expectations of this board.

Good little update. I love it that this small group is up at dawn working on getting better. No surprise that Benny and Petteway are working their butts off to improve their game...no surprise at all. What was great to hear is the third member of their group. Don't get me wrong, I am not surprised that Tai is working his butt off to improve. The word is that I am totally jacked to see Tai with those two. We either get guys or we don't. If there is something not on the up and up and it's some sort of trainer/aau thing/whatever, hopefully we can avoid it in the future if possible and land the guys that want to go here because it's a place to be and the right fit for them. I'd suspect those types of recruits would be the ones you read about in the OWH practicing at 6am in the future FWIW.

I just think it is annoying and a total cop out that anytime we are going up against an SEC school everyone throws out the they are paying them excuse. Man up and win a recruiting battle. If we lose, on to the next one. The cheating allegations with no evidence is just a bunch of sour grapes and makes our fan base look like a group of teenage girls.

I go by if they deliver the goods or if they just blow smoke a lot. There's a difference between the guys who say "I know something and you don't" versus the guys who just say what they know and let people just accept or reject it as they wish. I think Crazy has taken the second approach. We'll see if the things he says pan out. So far, I think he's been pretty reliable. Just my 2 cents.

You could call that our most heralded class of the "star rating" era. I don't think this beats the class of Strickland, Boone, and Woolridge in terms of ratings. I believe at the time it was ranked as one of the best classes in the nation.

I simply like that Tai is with Benny and Petteway...Petteway is one of the if not the hardest worker NU has (as least that is what we are told a lot). So for Tai to be in there working with Terran is awesome.

I'll lay odds he doesn't mention either baseline in his speech today and that "ag'in" might come up in the question and answer segment. I think his good old boy recrutin' style will fit better down there and only wish him the best.

I'm not too worried about that. He knows he can slow play Nebraska because we have a lot of scholarships to burn. IF (and that's a big 'if') Deng Deng commits to NU before next weekend, then it will be a bit more interesting to see where Cornish's head is at upon his arrival in Lincoln. Sure would be great to sign double-D and then glean a potential four-year shooting guard to further enhance the roster of the program during the spring signing period. We shall see how it all goes down in the next 10 days or so... exciting times, if nothing else.

The players will play well enough to win most of 'em in spite of Barnes' in-game coaching, I'd imagine.

There also wasnt ANY updates on him during the season and his offers page hasnt been updated in over a year. I truly think hes a quiet guy and never let anyone in on his options until it was time to visit. He himself never said it was down to those two, it was merely just speculation. As BR said this visit had been scheduled previous so its not just out of the blue to him, just us that havent gotten then entire story.
