They may not have been particularly looking at someone but with two expected spots they had to have several players in mind. This now gives them a third option as well if it came down to several players wanting to be N.2 points -

Robin talked with his dad and did an update. He is still very excited about Nebraska and talks to Miles and Harriman "all the time". Plans on making an official visit this fall the weekend of a football game.2 points -
After what length of living in the state of Nebraska are you allowed to have disparaging or jaded opinions about schools in the state of Nebraska? How could he have such an opinion after so short of time? Is is possible there are certain pseudo-Husker fans who troll him on twitter and message boards? Is it's possible their crappy POV and attitudes are responsible for the feedback and opinions from Kenny Bell?2 points

There was an interesting comment in this interview with Miles. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=209451261&SPID=76795&SPSID=597347 The portion that I thought may inspire some recruiting guesstimates here came when Miles said: "We know this team overcame some obstacles in terms of us having a complete team. I look forward to the late spring recruiting period. We’re going to add some odd pieces to the puzzle and make us better and make us the type team that can go to the NCAA Tournament and win.” It sounds like he knows he has the "odd pieces to the puzzle" to add...sounds like a foregone conclusion...and not good or great pieces, but ODD Speculation is welcome on what/where/who you think the "odd pieces" are.1 point

No, Silverbacked, you're doing it wrong... try it like this: "MY favorite team (and/or college) is composed of nothing but the most righteous and upstanding models of human decency ever assembled, while YOUR favorite team (and/or college) is a collection of the most despicable and sycophantic examples of trash the world has ever known...and if you disagree with me on this that only serves to prove just how wrong you are about your personal stance on the matter. Because you are wrong." Et cetera ad infinitum. I believe that is the goal of this thread isn't it?1 point -

Murren to transfer
Bugeaters1 reacted to huskerchode for a topic
To me, the writing was on the wall during the season. We had 4 starting positions solidified, looked for a 5th and found her a few games in, and had 1 experienced player able to come off the bench and play meaningful minutes. It wasn't so much that the 2 in-state kids were unwilling to come off the bench, it was because they weren't really allowed off the bench, and with the new girls coming in this fall, I imagine playing time next year would have been limited to late in games when it was already decided. I've often thought if Murren had gone to UW-GB or followed the coach to Illinois, she might have played a lot more. I can't remember who else recruited Tvrdy, but I thought at the beginning that she would struggle in the Big10. I hope both of them find success with their next schools.1 point -

What do we need? We need a low post defender and rebounder. We need a dead-eye perimeter shooter, someone who can stroke it at better than a 40% clip. Beyond that, we just need the returning players to make marginal improvements to their games. If Shields gets a little bit better and Petteway gets a little bit better, if Pitchford improves his inside game and if Webster improves his outside game, we don't need a lot of other pieces. It still would be nice to find that athletic big who inhales rebounds and a Marcus Perry-type 3 point shooter. Beyond that, I think we have a pretty solid core of returning talent.1 point -

hhcmatt reacted to huskerbaseball13 for a topic
I'm sure Miles would have liked to have Hawkins stick around but not a huge loss IMO. He could have turned into a solid player but hes not someone we can't replace. I think he could have developed into a good shooter but I was not that impressed with his athleticism. I'm looking forward to seeing who coach can find to replace the two new schollies with.1 point -

The Hawkins news does surprise me, even though there were rumors of it earlier. I've seen a lot of freshmen come in and be homesick during their first year, talk about transferring, and then eventually adjust to life in Lincoln and have successful careers. I thought maybe Nate would make that adjustment and want to stay. I guess not. The issue with Nate in terms of his skill set was that he might not have had the quickness to be a good enough man-to-man defender to ever see a starting role on this team. His father's tweets and overall attitude were also the last thing he needed. The Hawkins family obviously has a delusional view of Nate's level of development and ability to compete at this level. I saw a player who showed flashes but who generally struggled badly and made a lot of mistakes. Oh well, best of luck to him. He seemed like a good kid, but this isn't a huge loss in my view. It seems like dad thinks it's still high school ball. I wonder how we'll use this scholarship. Will they go after a grad student or a high school player? Will it be a big or another guard to replace Hawk? I wonder if this opens up an opportunity for Vasilije Pusica. Not sure whether or not they're still interested in him, but he's a great outside shooter.1 point

BYU PG Matt Carlino is transferring for his senior season and immediately eligible
trickey reacted to TheKamdyMan for a topic
He is graduating this spring. That's what I thought but that still doesn't explain why he's transferring if he has another year of eligibility left? Some guys just want a change of scenery. Maybe for him he wants to find a team that can make a run in the NCAA tournament. Maybe he doesnt want to live by the codes anymore at BYU and wants to have a little fun before his college career is over.1 point -

If you think raising ticket prices to compensate for a $50k bonus is going to hurt anyone in the pocketbook I would say you've got another think coming. What it amounts to is approximately $3 per season ticket. And if you look at it another way, that would be in the neighborhood of about 15 cents per ticket per game increase. As it is, the increased revenue, and profit (about $1.5 million worth), from raising basketball season ticket holders from ~6000 to 15000 (with little or no increase in ticket price) would cover just about any reasonable raise the AD would consider giving the coaching staff. I would imagine if you'd survey season ticket holders and asked them if they thought that was "throwing money around" they would laugh back in your face. I don't imagine you're very good with contract negotiations judging by your shortsighted post, Johnny. Finally, how do you propose the AD would be "years ahead of schedule" by saving "millions of dollars vs what TO did" when they are already running a pretty decent surplus as it is without saving your millions? Got an answer for that? Saving money for a rainy day doesn't win championships, Johnny.1 point

Try not to get any tears on your sweater vest. Just a perfect example of players (and in this case fans) reflecting their FB coach's personality. He is not from Nebraska, he knew nothing of either NU or CU before dropping passes here err... attending school here. obviously he also forgot about the basketball game in December as he was probably dropping passes err.... practicing hard for his bowl game.-1 points
