This showed up in my inbox today

That was a good one...April Fool's can be brutal sometimes.

    Happy thoughts

Emeka okafor and Diana Taurasi were the stars. SI did a double sided championship edition because of it. Very rare that's for sure. Did UConn also win both men's and women's championships in 1999? Richard Hamilton, Khalid El-Amin...Not sure about the women's team. I thought both finals were UConn vs Duke. Is memory serving me right here?

    Vooch ( all-academic Big Ten)

That was my experience Scott, until I got your post. Thanks for the clarification.

Nebraska 19-12 Vs. Baylor 24-11 Game Thread

Not sure if this was already mentioned, so please excuse me if this was. I am not the most Twitter-savvy guy. Did Karl Hess really tweet this? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Suck it <a href="https://twitter.com/CoachMiles">@CoachMiles</a></p>— Karl Hess (@KarlHessReferee) <a href="https://twitter.com/KarlHessReferee/statuses/447075669780881408">March 21, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Does a play in game count

Does it count? Ask K-State (and Mississippi) after they lost to LaSalle last year, after LaSalle won their play-in game. LaSalle ended up going to the Sweet 16, after being a "play-in team".

    Our Path to the Dance

Seeing that Xavier is still alive and playing tonight, does that mean I have to cheer for Creighton?

Huskers playing in Grant Hall in 1911-12

Thanks colhusker! I saw that link but I guess I did not skim carefully enough.

Huskers playing in Grant Hall in 1911-12

Thanks for the post Dimes! I looked up Grant Hall and UNL's site indicates it was razed in 1966. This was before my time. Does anyone know where this was located on campus?

You forgot to add this...here you go.
  10. Totally agree with what you're saying Norm, but isn't there an emoticon for the eye roll?

I know we don't play them anymore, well

Thanks for filling me in 49r. I'll try to remember that if I rant about him again.

Miles I agree with you on Wisconsin. The guy that gets me though is that Brusewitz (sp?). His mop-top hair cut and Laimbeer style really gets to me. But my allegiance would be different if he played for Big Red.

I'm guessing that would have been our local troll, seaofred, who likes to go around various websites advertising for other places. (I keed, I keed. ) Norm, I assure you I'm not an imposter. I can appreciate your comment about the trolling though. Seems that is most of the posters on the LJS anymore are exactly that. And the conversations are constant spin about whether to fire Bo. Just got sick of it and after I heard of HHC, I signed up immediately. Seems to be good company on here.

Welcome aboard! BTW, what is LITR? Thanks dimes! LITR (life in the red) is the decaying chat on the LJS website. I don't mind Rosenthal but the LJS basketball coverage plays second fiddle to their obsession for the football recruiting drama. I have a feeling they'll be paying more attention to the basketball team in the coming years.
